When it comes to skin care, you’ve likely figured out I’m anything but a minimalist. The Ultra Repair Cream from First Aid Beauty, however, is one flexible multi-tasker that everyone needs in their stash. Pretty much. Extremely well-rounded, this no fuss formula is no poser. Without overpromising, this fluffy cream hydrates, soothes, heals, and softens dry irritated skin. It effectively addresses myriad conditions, including your bruised budget.

Oatmeal?

Powered by calming Colloidal Oatmeal, the Ultra Repair Cream has anti-inflammatory properties that reduce skin irritation from rashes, burns, or severe dryness. Powerful enough to take on more than rough and scaly patches, this First Aid Beauty skin protectant gives immediate relief to skin affected by eczema, psoriasis, or keratosis pilaris. Safe for most sensitive skin types, it is free of parabens, harsh chemicals, colorants, and any hype.

The feels…

Its texture is a perfect blend of whipped and creamy, but Ultra Repair Cream only appears to be light and airy. This heavy duty moisturizer is loaded with hydrating Glycerin and Squalane, nourishing Shea Butter and skin protective White Tea Extract. Never greasy, it sinks in and shields the skin against environmental damage.

Thanks to a hint of antibacterial Eucalyptus Oil, it feels pleasantly cooling upon application and provides gentle aromatherapy. Those sensitive even to a natural fragrance, need not worry as the scent dissipates in seconds.

My take…

The Ultra Repair Cream from First Aid Beauty is literally all over the place. In a good way. My adventure started with a travel size tube and escalated into multiple six ounce jars around the house. I feel comfortable using it on my face and never feel guilty for slathering it on ashy elbows. I even use it as a hand cream.

Who knew a single product with such versatility was available? And, at Sephora no less. Apply it generously after a shower to lock in moisture or as needed on areas that feel dry or itchy. I’ve successfully used it on mosquito bites and for post-tattoo care for those of you needing more ideas.

First Aid Beauty made its debut in 2009 and offers a constantly growing range of results driven products. They happen to be budget friendly, but that doesn’t mean cutting corners. If you have oilier skin, especially during warmer months, I can’t recommend the Skin Rescue line too highly. Check them out at Sephora.com as well as QVC.com.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream retails for $12 (2 oz.), $30 (6 oz.) and $39 (12 oz.)
