U Beauty The Super Oil & a 20% off promo

U Beauty The Super Intensive Face Oil delivery.

This month, it will be ten years since I began this blog. I’ve been an active consumer, however, for more than a decade prior to that. I’ve tried plenty of face oils. If you’ve met me, you know how discerning I am in this particular skincare category. So, when U Beauty sent over the on-brand, minimalist chic mailer with THE SUPER Intensive Face Oil, I was, of course, somewhat skeptical. Yet captivated to give it a try.

After only a couple of days, I’m posting first impressions. Spoiler alert: I like it quite a bit and feel compelled to share. Plus there is a 20% off promo at the end.

U Beauty luxury skincare line up is expanding.

What is the U Beauty Super Oil?

The U Beauty brand launched with Resurfacing Compound, hailed as the-only-product-you-will-ever-need. Since the initial launch, in order to meet everyone’s needs and skin preferences, the line has expanded and now offers issue-specific targeted formulas. Now, U Beauty boasts an edit that covers a fully comprehensive skincare routine. The Super Oil joins the lineup as a newbie that hydrates, moisturizes, and corrects age-related concerns, caused by oxidative stress and its damaging effects on skin.

What makes the U Beauty face oil unique?

First, the texture. If you’re used to either single ingredient oils or pure oil blends, this is not it. Think of The Super Oil as a hybrid formula. It evokes the serum-in-oil concept but without the bi-phase visual of oil and water floating on top of one another. The consistency, is instead, silky yet robust. It is an antioxidant-packed, repairing serum with an oil base as a carrier. It’s your dose of nourishing botanicals with major glow-boosting perks.

What’s in The Super Intensive Oil?

The oil component in this new launch includes Sweet Almond, Avocado, Rapeseed, Jojoba, and Sunflower Seed Oils. These are calming, anti-inflammatory, and rich in Vitamin E and fatty acids to ensure every skin type feels moisturized and balanced. And while keeping the skin supple and comfortable is achieved on contact, this U Beauty newness does a lot more. It is the supporting cast of ingredients that make the well-aging claim intriguing enough to explore further.

In my opinion this product lives up to the ‘super’ part of its name, in large part because of the inclusion of some impressive compounds, proven to improve overall skin health. The Super Intensive Oil is infused with brightening Vitamin C (water-soluble Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate), Red Algae Extract extremely rich in Astaxanthin which effectively reduces UV induced inflammation, soothing Bisabolol, plumping Hyaluronic Acid (in varying molecular weights), and fruit-derived enzyme Papain (to gently exfoliate). The formula also contains amino acids such as Alanine and Proline which strengthen the skin and maintain healthy hydration levels.

How to use the U Beauty face oil?

I may or may not be applying face oils correctly.  At one event, for example, a celebrity aesthetician (cough Mila Moursi cough) told me to always apply a face oil before a cream–otherwise, the oil cannot penetrate the cream. What I’ve heard and continue to hear from many others, on the other hand, is that an oil should be the last step to seal your skincare routine. After a lot of trial and error and almost casting off face oils altogether, I’ve come up with a trick that has worked for me. The winning approach: apply it on a heavily misted face or mix it with a water-based serum. Both methods ensure my combination skin absorbs every drop of the oil while leaving behind a healthy, radiant glow instead of the dreaded shine.

Since I’ve been using the Resurfacing Compound again, I found 2-3 pumps of RC with 1 pump of The Super Oil to be the perfect bedtime blend. When I tried a similar combo with The Super Hydrator, the result was a tad too rich (and not ideally spreadable). Again, having learned what works best for me, I stand by the serum & oil cocktail hack. It works brilliantly and I strongly suggest you give it a try. A side note: many will be thrilled to hear that U Beauty Super Oil has no fragrance whatsoever. The packaging is practical and travel-friendly, the glass bottle with pump dispenser will not spill a drop when toppled over.

Final Thoughts

If you’re a U Beauty loyalist, you will no doubt pick up a bottle. I have a feeling you will love it. It’s different from the conventional oils in which our market is literally drowning, which is a good thing. Aligned with the ethos of simplifying and streamlining each formula to create ultimate impact, this new launch appears to be… just what the brand needed.
