Jones Road Miracle Balm in Pinky Bronze Is Here!

Jones Road Miracle Balm review by trusted industry insider.

If you’re a fan of the Jones Road Miracle Balm, you already know it’s the ultimate makeup antihero of the decade. This mega-moisturizing, often tinted, sometimes sparkly multitasker may have a bit of a learning curve, but once you’ve mastered it, you won’t be without a jar—or five. Today, the limited-edition Pinky Bronze shade from last holiday’s kit makes its much-anticipated return as a permanent member of the lineup. Say hello to your new favorite. More details below.

What is the Jones Road Miracle Balm?

Jones Road Miracle Balm is a solid balm that melts with the warmth of your fingers, adding color or highlight to any skin tone. Depending on the shade, it can work as an all-over color, blush, bronzer, or highlighter. If your once-essential makeup items no longer bring you joy, it might be time to re-evaluate and consider trying a Miracle Balm. And if your skin is dry, dull, or you’re over forty, you might appreciate it even more. One word of advice: a little goes a long way to achieve the desired effect.

What’s the Pinky Bronze Shade Like?

The new Pinky Bronze shade is everything I wanted in a Miracle Balm, aside from my go-to shade, Au Naturel. Given that my other frequently rotated shades are Bronze and Dusty Rose, this latest addition perfectly balances the two, giving my sallow complexion a much-needed boost. While a thick swatch on the back of my hand appeared quite sparkly, the shimmer barely shows up on the skin when applied—light-handedly is the key here. Miracle Balm shades are designed to work across a wide range of skin tones, and Pinky Bronze is as inclusive as it gets.

How to Apply Jones Road Miracle Balm

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Jones Road Miracle Balm is best applied with your fingers. Yes, the Everything Brush is helpful, but it’s not a necessity. Don’t get me wrong, I love that brush—especially since I’m 99% makeup-challenged and it helps blend the balm around my hairline. Start with half a pea-sized amount, melting it on the back of your hand or directly on your fingertips. Then, gently press it into the areas where you want to add color or glow. Remember, pat—don’t rub.

Pro Tip: Setting the Miracle Balm

I know, who would have thought I’d get so detailed with my Jones Road makeup routine but hear me out. I’m not typically a powder person (or even much of a makeup person), but I found that a light swipe of The Tinted Face Powder (I use ‘light’) gives the finish a natural look and helps it last longer. For this, you will need a brush. Fortunately, Jones Road Beauty offers some impeccable Italian-made options. As with the Miracle Balm, use just a small amount of powder. You want to set the balm, not bury it.

Which Miracle Balm Shade Should You Get?

In short: take the shade quiz on the Jones Road website. It’s the best way to start your Miracle Balm obsession, especially if you don’t live near a store. Keep in mind that all the ‘hour’ shades (Magic Hour, Happy Hour, etc.) have the most prominent shimmer effect. Since I don’t wear traditional blush, I skip the coral and pink hues, with the exception of Dusty Rose, which is quite neutral and looks amazing. My personal go-to shades are: Au Naturel, Bronze, Dusty Rose, and now, Pinky Bronze.
