Full-Size… Or Is It?
Harrods lists 32 products in this year’s calendar, with 14 marked as full-size. This is where you need to do a little homework.
The beauty industry doesn’t have a universal definition of “full-size,” so here’s mine after two decades as a skincare consumer:
- Cleansers & toners: 150ml
- Serums: 30ml
- Moisturizers: 50ml
- Eye creams: 15ml
Just because La Mer sells a 15ml jar at retail doesn’t automatically make it full-size—it’s travel-sized. The same goes for eye masks: a “full-size” single-use sheet mask is still a single use. Full-size makeup items generally offer the most value for money (and the most wear), which is why they’re a retailer favorite for bumping up perceived value.
