Bespoken – JO LOVES Pomelo

#LovesIt!

We all remember our first bespoke experience. Mine was a bottle of Grapefruit cologne from Jo Malone. I sure have changed since then! Luckily, I’m not the only one. After selling her namesake empire to the Estée Lauder Companies and later departing, Jo Malone launched JO LOVES in 2011. Leading this luxury fragrance brand inspired by her favorite things is a scent I just can’t get enough of – Pomelo. Talk about a fresh start! #Literally

To me, Pomelo is the grown up Grapefruit that has come into its own since its 1992 launch. It’s not just older and wiser but sexier and more trendy. Really. The notes are upgraded; the finish is subtle and sophisticated, yet still casual. Pomelo is gender neutral and down to earth. Not a poser. Straight up citrus with smooth surprises, it might just be my new signature scent. #FullCircle

Inspired by the largest citrus fruit from the South and Southeast Asia, Pomelo’s top notes burst with juicy and crisp pink pomelo and a hint of rose. The green and earthy middle notes of clove and vetiver are comforting and light. While the citrus lingers and settles, bottom notes of suede and patchouli add a slightly seductive edge. It’s the most elegant everyday fragrance. #LoveBartX

Pomelo is complex but manages to stay clean and crisp with an effervescence only a citrus note can deliver. With great staying power, this energizing fragrance will stay with you for hours. JO LOVES is not sold in the US so scoring a bottle feels pretty exclusive. Not going to lie. You can check out the entire range and shop online via www.joloves.com. #ShippingAndHandling

I popped into the JO LOVES shop at 42 Elizabeth Street while in London a couple of weeks ago. The store is exquisite with testers, displays and knowledgeable but friendly help ready to assist and make recommendations. Having our purchases packed with care in red shopping bags was proof that luxury hasn’t lost its luster. #BowDown

UPDATE: POMELO by JO LOVES is now available at netaporter.com!
