Basic Masks Need Not Apply – Clark’s Botanicals Intense Radiance Mask

Every time I hear someone say, “less is more” I roll my eyes and repeat my mantra: “more is better.” I believe in abundance, choices, and options. I want to accommodate my skin. We both tend to get moody.

With that said, there are items in my stash that I really save for special occasions. It sounds so corny, but I ration the greatest of my finds. Don’t judge me.

Twelve years ago today, I met my better half. And today we will celebrate! Whether we have a fancy brunch or a casual dinner, I cannot help but want to bring back the youth of Bart at 21. From 12 years ago. From the photo of me on the fridge.

And the one item I will most definitely be using today is Clark’s Botanicals Intense Radiance Mask. Clay masks are ubiquitous to the point of boring. Francesco Clark, however, made a white clay mask that blows my mind. End of story. Thank you very much. It’s a wrap.

There is nothing ordinary about this mask. It brightens, tightens, lifts, clarifies and revitalizes. Yep. You heard me. The white clay base is jacked up with algae that stimulates collagen and tightens the skin and white genepi plant extract (hello, antioxidants!).

Nothing ordinary.
Nothing ordinary.

I am going to take thirty minutes, have a glass of champs and wear an even layer of my Intense Radiance Mask. I’m already pretty intense but I’m all about the radiance today. And since I’ve been using this treat of a mask for the last couple of years, I know I am about to look brighter and feel foxier.

As with any clay mask, it’s best you take a shower, steam up, help the pores open, use a gentle cleanser and apply the mask on a freshly patted dry face. Patience is a virtue. Take your time. Read a book. Watch the Kitten Wearing a Tiny Hat video on YouTube. Twenty times. Make a cup of tea. Be fancy.

Everything about Francesco Clark is impressive. His formulations reflect his drive and passion for perfection. His attitude deserves a medal. After a spinal cord injury in 2002, he never gave up. His body lost its ability to sweat causing clogged pores and chronic breakouts. He took charge and developed botanically-based formulas infused with nocturnally blooming Jasmine Absolute. It’s no wonder the universally healing formula is appreciated by editors and celebrities alike.

The Intense Radiance Mask retails for $72 (1.7oz). Not tested on animals, the formula is free of gluten, parabens and sulfates. Your luminous complexion post use also helps the Christopher Reeve Foundation as part of the proceeds supports the organization.
