Also known as Marigold, and unlike some other trendy botanicals (looking at you Argan oil), Calendula has been around for years. Its benefits range from healing and antiseptic to nourishing and comforting. The new Kiehl’s Calendula Deep Cleansing Wash feels hydrating and leaves the skin feeling squeaky clean without any tightness nor dryness. #FlowerPower
This wash does not have petals floating in the bottle like the Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol-Free Toner. It’s packed with moisturizing glycerin so while it goes deep and gets rid of all the grime and impurities, it does not strip your skin. My last cult face wash was the Kiehl’s Foaming Non-Detergent Washable Cleanser. It carried my face through ten summers or so and then… they discontinued it. Talk about wanting to Kiehl over. With this new Calendula Deep Cleansing Wash, Kiehl’s has redeemed itself. I hope it gains the similar irreplaceable status of the toner. #FingersCrossed
