From the handful of MDSolarSciences™ creations, my outdoor/poolside favorite is the Mineral Crème Broad Spectrum SPF 50 UVA-UVB Sunscreen. I’ll admit this particular formula blends in really well, but it is a bit too heavy for my combination skin’s regular daytime routine. It’s that damn T-zone! It’s pretty perfect for weekends or days with heavy sun exposure though. Ok, the Mineral Sunscreen Stick Broad Spectrum SPF 40 UVA-UVB Sunscreen. Solid, literally and figuratively, this ultra travel friendly option is white but glides on clear with a subtle purple sheen that vanishes after you massage it in. The dry touch finish is fantastic and I constantly apply it under my eyes, on and around the lips, and down the neck – areas that burn fast or are the most sun sensitive. $18 (.6 oz.)
Sun Repair
My all time favorite within the MDSolarSciences™ range, these navy blue pump bottles are the ultimate trifecta. The Daily Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 30 is a lightweight lotion, which features a proprietary blend of Vitamin C, Niacinamide, Chamomile, Seaweed, Rose Hips, and Green Tea Extracts, among others known as ProVention-R™ This signature ingredient library is the common thread within this moisturizer and its ancillaries: Evening Facial Repair Serum and Daily Eye Repair Emulsion.
Non-negotiable, the Daily Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 30 has luxurious creamy consistency that absorbs brilliantly and feels beyond comfortable when combined over any serum. Legit holy grail status when it comes to everyday sunscreen. Both Daily Eye Repair Emulsion and Evening Facial Serum are silicone based, so make sure you appreciate the gorgeous slippery texture. Infused with Retinol and Ferulic Acid (in addition to countless botanicals), the serum firms, brightens, and evens out skin tone that has fallen victim to the cruel effects of photoaging. Studded with vitamins, peptides, and plant extracts, the eye treatment is to be used day and night as it protects against free radical damage, hydrates, and diminishes signs of stubborn dark circles and puffiness.
