Dry Run – KLORANE Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk

Every beauty editor and blogger has covered the French pharmacy must-haves at one time or another. I needed hard facts before my trip this week and decided to resurrect a Goop newsletter from 2011 on the topic. My girl Gwyneth needs all the support she can get right now and I’m loyal like that. Especially when my favorite windbag recommends things under twenty bucks. #HighAndDry

With just two days in Paris, there was no time for walking aimlessly from Arrondissement to Arrondissement. The to-do list included copious amounts of rosé, foie gras, tartare, scoring a 40cm Birkin at Hermès, and hitting up a number of local French pharmacies. The Birkin didn’t happen, but I did come home with a six month supply of . #MadeInFrance

Dry shampoo is one of the most genius inventions in the beauty world, but finding a good one is very difficult. Some have insanely overpowering scents that linger (TRESemmé), some leave your hair straight up white (Dove), and others do both of the above and manage to leave your hair sticky (Aveeno). Testing drugstore versions with budget price tags will most definitely run you more than $20 and still leave you with messy hair. #HotMess

Enter . It doesn’t weigh down your hair and keeps it manageable with zero residue. Just remember to give it a good shake before you use it. Spray it on sparingly, wait for the dry mist to set for just a minute or two, and brush through your hair. Its slight floral scent fades quickly. Later, dreadful in-between-washes days! #FlipsHair

Perfect for travel, lazy days, or extending a blow out, KLORANE absorbs oil, freshens up your mane, and even provides a bit of a volume boost. The Oat Milk formula (for dry hair) is available as an aerosol or non-aerosol product. I recommend the Nettle formula for oilier scalps. #HomeRun

By the way, French oat milk is so gentle and soothing that it’s actually safe for kids (and adults) to use every day. The natural properties of oat milk protect and restore the balance of your scalp and hair and are “ideal for people on-the-go, frequent travelers, after the gym, busy moms and office desk,” according to KLORANE’s website. This has to be Gwyneth inspired. Right? #WorkingMother

    Bart,
This is in regards to your earlier post about Malin + Goetz. Never heard of them before you. And here I was having lunch on my UWS and saw their store across the street. I went right in and had a great shopping experience.
Inside info on this location – I was dealing with Kevin. I told him I never tried this brand before and I went by your tip to get a mojito lip balm. Impulse purchase, spurr of the moment thing. You know how it goes! I love this mojito balm, was putting it on all day! Not sure what it has to do with mojitos but feels great!
And Kevin was a great sales guy. When he found out that I was not familiar with their brand, he gave me a bunch of samples of a range of products. So much better than Sephora experience. I like boutique companies like that. He also told me about the background story of the owners. One of the owners used to work for Kiehls. I connected all the dots! You would be proud of me! Remember how you introduced me to Kiehls Creme de Corps years ago? Kiehls, Loreal, that body cream being the best seller. I had the best teacher in skin care industry.
Feature some more from their “must have” items, so I know what to buy and through your blog this time. Anti aging and skin care items are of my preference…
