Practically a neighbor of mine, the Connecticut based Kat Burki line is one of my all time favorite discoveries this year. A slave to her Vitamin C Intensive Face Cream, I have developed an addiction to the signature aroma each Kat Burki treatment boasts…a very juicy yet posh clean green scent that is delicious and dare I say, wearable? Not to digress, but when they are ready to consider a shower cream, offer it in a family size jug, please and thank you.

Earlier this month, Kat Burki unveiled the latest formula – complete b Bio-Correcting Face Crème. Grateful for the generously gifted jar pre-release, this brand new addition to my anti-aging arsenal was love at first sight. At $390 a jar, it is definitely a splurge but three months in, I say, if you can, treat yourself. Nobody believes in skinvesting more than yours truly.
Geared toward dry and mature skin types, the Kat Burki complete b Bio-Correcting Face Crème is probably the richest facial moisturizer in the entire range. Read: not your daughter’s cream. With a deceivingly lightweight consistency, it glides on the skin but needs a few seconds to sink in as you massage it in gently. Once absorbed, it is absolutely traceless and delivers immediate moisture and comfort as well as long term age correcting perks.
A harmonious blend of artisanal, innovative, luxurious, and natural, the Kat Burki range is all around impeccable. The Bio-Correcting anti-ager features a meticulously composed ingredient deck. Fueled by the brand’s proprietary KB5™ Complex (a botanical quintet of Arnica, Gotu Kola, Lavender, Calendula and Chamomile), the peach hued crème is jacked up with five kinds of Vitamin B, plant derived Hyaluronic Acid, Neuropeptides, CoQ10, Blue Tansy, Vitamin C, and Glycolic Acid to name a few. Received a sample of this creme. Nasty smelling, greasy and the eye creme complex is even worse and has the texture of greasy oatmeal. So glad I received these samples as a gift from Net-A-Porter and didn’t pay for these products as they are being placed into the trash. Sorry to be so blunt but I’ve never seen anything this gross in the skin care market. Many of the ingredients are questionable.

Sorry to hear you disliked this moisturizer so much, Charmaine Roman! I know many may find it too heavy as it takes a bit to absorb. It’s odd that it smelled off, too. Luckily, mine did not. Better luck next time!
