Some of my most favorite beauty essentials come with a built-in brush applicator: YSL Touche Éclat or Supergoop! Invincible SPF, for instance. Come to think of it, I much prefer applying face masks and tinted moisturizers with a brush vs. pressing my fingers into action. The first: ease and precision. The latter: impeccable finish. Earlier this summer, the brand new JO LOVES Fragrance Paintbrush™ caught my eye while flipping through British Vogue. The rest, as they say, is history.
As innovative and unique as you’d expect, the latest JO LOVES newness is truly a first-of-its-kind. Inspired by using a paintbrush during the in-store Fragrance Tapas experience, the Queen of Bespoke created an absolutely genius delivery system. Looking back on my visit to the Candle Studio at the Elizabeth Street shop during which I chose my unique Candle Shot combination, I recall exploring each singular scent, which had been painted on a piece of canvas. That was a key part of my own the creative process.
Elevating the concept and bringing it to everyday life, the new JO LOVES Fragrance Paintbrush™ is a personal fragrance gamechanger. The wide, flat tip brush head full of soft white bristles guides a concentrated gel cologne formula as it sinks into the skin with impressive lasting power. Click the bottom of the brush and paint away! It is available in four lusted after scents: Pomelo, White Rose & Lemon Leaves, Green Orange & Coriander, and Red Truffle 21, which makes for travel, gym bag, or on-the-go perfection.
Why am I so obsessed? Because traveling with fragrance can be such a challenge. Those lucky enough to have their favorite scent available in a roller-ball wand, still have to fight the ball’s loosening and leaking in-flight. They literally can’t take the pressure from the altitude. The new JO LOVES Fragrance Paintbrush™ is the most discreet and least invasive way to apply fragrance around others. A car, handbag, or desk drawer staple, this touch-up beauty tool is portable luxury at its finest.
Available on joloves.com £40 (18ml) and Sephora.com $55.
