Some of you may remember my essie man-e-cure post from a few months ago. At the time, I was living in a big city with bright lights and more nail salons within a three block radius than Starbucks coffee shops. No, I have not moved to Siberia, but living in the “country,” the closest place for a manicure involves a 15 minute drive–and that’s only if a school bus isn’t in front of me. I now stay at home and turn to the new essie SPA collection, which includes a hand care range that is professional quality and results in instant gratification. #HandsDown

With its own hydra resurfacing system the essie SPA manicure products include ‘starter scrub’ exfoliating hand scrub, ‘smooth attraction’ softening hand masque, and an intensive hand lotion ‘many many mani’. The exfoliating, replenishing and smoothing properties of this trifecta are a spa grade level experience without having to book an appointment, commuting, nor tipping. #HaveTheUpperHand

Starter Scrub is the first step of the at home manicure. There is nothing rough about this creamy scrub and you only need a small amount. After applying it to dry hands and massaging it in for a few minutes, add some water and let the scrub foam up. Rinse and pat your hands dry. The effects are immediate. Thanks to aloe vera and milled loofah, your hands are smooth, exfoliated, and conditioned. #KeepYourHandsClean

Smooth Attraction is a real treat and my favorite part of this at home spa experience. This rich gel is light blue in color with a fresh green scent. Packed with pro-vitamin E and botanicals, it soothes and hydrates on contact. Apply a generous amount and wrap your hands in warm damp towels for 5 minutes before rinsing. Let me know how that works because I skip the towel part and just walk around with my hands covered in gel utilizing the speaker function on my phone. #HandsUp

The intensive hand lotion Many Many Mani is the third step. Glycerin and coriander oil are the star ingredients that assure your hands are left supple, soft and smooth. Completely non-greasy, this fantastic lotion absorbs within seconds so you can text right back while the soft floral scent lingers. After exfoliating and treating your hands, the moisture is now locked in and ready for some cuticle care and color! #InGoodHands

I’ve got 20 nails that are on the verge of becoming talons. I may have to buy bigger shoes. Have you ever tried to find red stilettos with lucite heels in a size 16? It’s not easy.

It’s nice to finally see big companies are doing mens nail products, I always randomly get commented on mine as I take care of them and it’s so hard to get products that aren’t too girly if that makes sense

I’ve never tried any of the skin care. I have tried an essie polish, but I think it was dried up since even with two coats it stayed transparent. :/ I’d like to give it another chance. :p
