The Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm is my all time favorite cleanser. There’s no denying that. In fact, it might just be my favorite skincare product. Like, ever. Were our house on fire, I’d run inside to grab a jar. It’s superb on every level.

Avoiding the temptation to saturate and overwhelm with unnecessary filler products, Emma Hardie launches are few and far between. A few months ago, after years in the making, two new formulas joined the impeccable line up: VIT C Intense Daily Serum and Moisture Boost VIT+C Cream. OMG. So worth the wait.

Not your average Vitamin C

Featuring a unique blend of time-released 2% Vitamin C, Niacinamide and Red Algae, both the new serum and cream deliver impressive brightening, regenerating and smoothing results. This elegant duo complements your existing routine seamlessly, plays well with others and provides notable texture and tone correcting benefits. Suitable for all skin types, those experiencing dullness, loss of elasticity, hyperpigmentation due to sun damage, or general signs of aging will be thrilled with the results.

Serum or Cream?

My rule of thumb: if you need hydration, opt for a serum; if your skin craves moisture, pick a cream. A second rule I follow with my combination skin: serum during the day, cream at night. Depending on the weather and situation, you can always mix or layer the two for an extra shot of anti-aging perks. Good news to those who find the intoxicating aroma of the Moringa Balm simply irresistible – both the serum and cream evoke the same delicious Neroli notes. Heaven.

Serum

Milky in texture, the VIT C Intense Daily Serum goes on freshly cleansed and exfoliated skin and wears beautifully under any moisturizer (especially the Protect & Prime in the morning as it boosts the efficacy of sunscreen). It sinks into the skin within seconds and provides an instant feeling of firmness with a smooth as glass finish (and no, it’s not silicone). Infused with soothing Rice Starch as well as Chamomile, Geranium and Sweet Orange Essential Oils to name a few, this Emma Hardie serum calms and purifies skin exposed to environmental aggressors.

Cream

Love, love, love it. Rich and creamy, but neither dense nor heavy, the Emma Hardie Moisture Boost VIT+C Cream is officially my new obsession. In addition to its aromatherapy bonus, this non-greasy moisturizer is loaded with nourishing plant oils (Organic Evening Primrose, Sweet Almond, Grape, Sesame and Moringa Seed), CoQ10, which fights free radical damage, and Pumpkin Enzyme to promote a healthy cellular turnover. Worn overnight, this lush formula delivers remarkably radiant skin by the morning. A humble request: jumbo size for home, baby jar for travel, please and thank you.

Mmmm…at a quick glance the ingredients are nice. I also love the cleansing balm so I’ve no doubt I’d love these as well.

Any worries for combination skin because of the Shea butter?

Totally fair question! Personally, I have no issues during the winter but am now avoiding butters during summer months (oils are fine for me). I’m wearing the serum today with no issues, I will get back into the cream October/November.
