Mila Moursi Launches Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30

Mila Moursi kicked the New Year off with a surprise addition to its luxurious line up of A-list essentials, the launch of Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30. And, I’m here for it. Breaking all the rules, this new gel formula is weightless, non-greasy, and completely clear. In other words, it’s a 180-degree turn from the dreaded traditional SPF that is often chalky, heavy and mask-like. Seriously. Invisible.

Totally transparent.

What’s in it?

Chock full of skin-repairing peptides, the latest from Mila Moursi sports an impressive ingredient deck that includes Pumpkin Seed Extract, Arginine, Sodium Hyaluronate, and Retinyl Palmitate. Though it is intended principally to help guard against damage from UVA and UVB rays, this clever multi-tasker offers the additional benefits of delivering hydration and protection against an array of free radicals.

last step to my perfect daytime line up

But also…

Keep in mind that Dimethicone is the second ingredient, so most will feel the silicone in the new Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30. The texture resembles that of a makeup primer. The good news is that it also works as such. After applying it over my serum (or moisturizer), I finished with a layer of my tinted staple (Charlotte Tilbury Unisex Healthy Glow), and admired the flawless results all day long.

SPF 411

Another important piece of info: this is a chemical sunscreen. When I’m spending a few hours by the pool, I typically choose a physical sunscreen. For one, I don’t care about the finish. Second, nobody burns under a layer of Titanium Dioxide or Zinc Oxide. The new Mila Moursi SPF 30 includes Avobenzone, Homosalate, Octinoxate, Octisalate, and Octocrylene as active ingredients. Since my skin rarely experiences sensitivities, I have had great luck wearing it daily. The distinct sunscreen scent is very faint. Zero complaints.

Yay or Nay?

A fan of the entire range, I am thrilled to incorporate the new Mila Moursi sunscreen innovation into my routine. Coincidence or convenience, the Refining Lotion, an Alpha Hydroxy Acid resurfacing masterpiece, delivers even more phenomenal results when combined with a great sunscreen. One caveat: this prestige arrival will set you back. $148 to be exact. Weighing in at 50 ml, splurge surpasses even your SPF wishlist picks from Sisley and La Mer. Treat yourself if you can!
