The Sarah Chapman Skinesis Overnight Facial has been a cult product for over a decade. I first picked it up at Space NK during a trip to Europe and have gone back to it repeatedly since. The reputation is not built on marketing. It is built on results.
What is the Overnight Facial?
Sarah Chapman is a London facialist with over twenty years of experience. The Overnight Facial is her signature at-home treatment. It is a serum-oil hybrid — active density of a serum, nourishing finish of an oil, without heaviness. Use it a few nights a week on cleansed skin, after any essence or hydrating toner, before moisturiser.
Who is it for?
Rough texture, uneven tone, enlarged pores, fine lines, general dullness. The formula addresses all of those. It is also a strong option for anyone whose skin needs extra recovery after travel or disrupted sleep. My combination skin handles it well three nights a week with just a hydrating serum underneath. No dryness, no congestion.
The texture is lightweight for an oil. It absorbs without leaving any trace on skin or pillowcase.

What’s in it?
The base is jojoba, hemp, and meadowfoam seed oils — skin-compatible, non-comedogenic carriers that absorb cleanly. The active layer is where this gets serious: retinyl palmitate, vitamins A, C, and E, alpha lipoic acid, and Renovage, a peptide-based longevity complex that targets the visible signs of skin ageing. Antioxidants and additional peptides round out the formula.
For a serum oil at this price point, the active concentration is genuinely high. This is not a face oil with a token vitamin A drop.

The scent
Floral and herbal, and noticeable. It dissipates within a few minutes but it is there. If you are sensitive to fragrance this is worth knowing before you buy. Personally I find it pleasant.
The price
The bottle is 15ml, roughly the size of an eye cream. Two pumps is the right amount per use, and the formula is concentrated enough that it goes further than the size suggests. That said, it moves faster than a standard 30ml serum. The current price at LookFantastic is £68.
Whether that is justified depends on how your skin responds. If standard retinol formulas have caused irritation in the past, the buffered delivery in a facial oil base makes this a genuinely useful alternative. The results are real and they show up quickly.
