Best known for the geniusly hydrating Oasis™ range, H2O Plus has been in and out of my life since I arrived stateside over a decade ago. Recently re-introduced to the brand via the Waterwhite Advanced™ line, I am thrilled to be expanding my list of favorites. With promises of luminosity and even tone, this skin brightening collection is offered in eight various formulas. Potent, easily slotted into my routine, and definitely most reached for are the Brightening Essence and Eye Cream.
While patience and consistency are key when it comes to achieving realistic skincare goals, I always find one has to be especially diligent with products that aim to lighten and help with hyperpigmentation issues. Utilizing their own Marine Brightening Technology, H2O Plus harnesses the power of Knotted Sea Kelp and Asian plant extracts and delivers significant pigment correcting results. This proprietary blend of botanicals prevents and lessens any visible discoloration caused by sun exposure.
The H2O Plus Waterwhite Advanced™ Brightening Essence is a lightweight treatment that fits seamlessly into any regimen. Because of its liquigel texture, this pre-moisturizer step is flexible enough to be used both during the day and overnight. Fueled by a highly stabilized form of Vitamin C, this illuminating powerhouse increases the skin’s radiance and gives it a smoother, more even tone. It absorbs instantly and layers well under an SPF or a heavier night cream so using the Brightening Essence religiously is completely effortless. Stick with it for a couple of weeks and you will be amazed.
The Brightening Eye Cream from H2O Plus is infused with nourishing Shea Butter to immediately plump the fragile skin around the eye and provide lasting moisture. Besides superb hydration, the formula is propelled by the Marine Brightening Technology and antioxidant-rich Brown Algae and Spirulina to soothe and rejuvenate upon application. Lush and creamy in texture, it glides on and makes for a phenomenal base under your concealer. Keep in mind that an eye cream can only do so much and if you struggle with severe dark circles, make sure to stay hydrated and get plenty of rest.
The entire Waterwhite Advanced™ collection also includes a cleanser, toner, mask, and various hydrating formulas. While using the complete set will most definitely result in optimal brightness and luminosity, my advice is to choose and stay with steps you can commit to regularly. My Spring into Summer picks were the Essence and Eye Cream but I can easily see myself incorporating the Cleanser and Mask in the Fall. The Intensive Overnight solution is probably the best bet for anyone interested in taking one step at a time.
