When it comes to face serums, the bar is set very high. To get my attention, it must feel borderline weightless while also becoming the hardest working step in my skincare routine. This time of year, there non-negotiables are: it has to address dehydration and any potential irritation that may result in skin barrier disruption. Enter the new ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Rose Micro Serum. It checks all the boxes while providing mind-soothing aromatherapy.
What is the new Rose Micro Serum?
Part of the Pro-Collagen range, the new Rose Micro Serum aims to boost the skin’s hydration levels, which results in a visibly plumped up appearance of fine lines. These ELEMIS formulas are the core and signature of the brand since they’ve been proven to deliver impressive results. There are serums and face oils within this particular collection, but this newness is a hybrid of both. What’s in it?

How do you use it?
The Rose Micro Serum goes on after you cleanse, exfoliate, and tone (or use an essence step) and before you moisturize. Since the formula is lightweight and quick to absorb, it layers great with other products. Having recently received my bottle, I’ve incorporated it into both my morning and evening routines. Do I have a preference? I may lean more toward AM use because this oil-in-serum does particularly well under my favorite sunscreen.
Thoughts on the new Rose Micro Serum
In short, the new ELEMIS Rose Micro Serum has an incredibly elegant texture, feels sublime on the skin, and provides a subtle and decadent rose aroma. What makes this launch a real winner, however, is the glow it imparts with every pump. As the seasons change, my skin can feel dehydrated and look a bit fatigued so I’m reaching for it often. It’s a tad pricey and I’m going through my bottle quite quickly but it’s only because I love how it’s making my skin look and feel.
