The Saint Jane C-Drops Are My Latest Vitamin C Fix

Vitamin C serum. Eye cream. These are the two product categories you guys ask me about most often on social media. Two years ago, I did a quick round-up of the Vitamin C serums I had in rotation with much success. You can check that out by clicking here. Side note: you can also click here to explore four pages of archived posts about Vitamin C products I’ve covered. I’m not planning to update the serum edit, but do want to share my impressions of the recently launched CBD-infused C Drops from Saint Jane Beauty.

perfect combo

Cannabis has come a long way since its early days in the beauty space. It has actually become its own self-care category within the industry. From tinctures to body oils, bath salts, and now skincare, CBD infused formulas are not only more popular than ever, but highly refined, luxurious, and effective as well. With that said, I no longer get too excited about CBD innovation. When I first tried the Saint Jane CBD Luxury Beauty Serum, I fell hard for the golden oil blend many compare to Vintner’s Daughter. Fast Forward a year and I’m still hooked on the serum (which is actually an oil) and totally obsessed with the brand new C Drops. Surprise. Not.

What’s in it?

C Drops seem to have a slight slip at first, reminiscent of a dry oil. What you’re experiencing is corn-derived Propanadiol, which leads the ingredient deck. This natural alternative to Propylene Glycol is used as a humectant and an excellent solvent for the other powerhouse ingredient, Ferulic Acid. Combined with 20% concentration of 3-Glyceryl Ascorbate, a stable form of Vitamin C and antioxidant-rich Kakadu Plum Extract, they deliver a visible brightening effect. Whether you’re looking to fight skin dullness or hyperpigmentation, with consistent use, you will be impressed with the results. Just commit to using this gorgeous serum once a day.

What about the CBD?

Saint Jane C Drops contain 500mg of full-spectrum CBD which is known for its soothing, calming, and anti-inflammatory properties. If your skin is easily irritated or leans toward sensitive, it’s possible you haven’t had much luck with topical Vitamin C products (some can be harsh). This clever combination of skin brightening ingredients and Cannabis Sativa Extract solves the issue and provides a gentle, effective solution.

The 411

The serum is thin and clear.  I plan to breeze through my bottle in the next couple of months in hopes it won’t oxidize and turn yellow or that dreaded rusty orange. If you’re familiar with C E Ferulic formulas, some have a scent that reminds me of hot dog water. Luckily, Saint Jane’s C Drops have the pleasant, faint citrus aroma of grapefruit, lemon, and lime. Since the serum absorbs great and I prefer to use Vitamin C during the day, I have been layering C Drops under my sunscreen as part of my A.M. routine. And loving it.

it’s what on the inside that matters…

Those who know me know that I treat a Vitamin C formula as a non-negotiable step in his skincare regimen. This Saint Jane Beauty launch is imho absolutely fantastic. A bit about my skin: combination, forty, easily congested, minimal discoloration, can always use a radiance boost. I also dislike powdered Vitamin C products with a passion — just a personal preference.

C Drops are available at credo.com and saintjanebeauty.com $90 (30ml)
