Perfectly Balanced, Indeed – Paula’s Choice RESIST Foaming Cleanser

Because even the least common skin type deserves its own custom treat, Paula’s Choice launched the Resist Perfect Balance Foaming Cleanser recently. Geared towards combination and oily skin types in need of anti-aging perks, this daily face wash is a dream come true for all who deal with the rare mix of enlarged pores and fine lines. If your skin acts like it did 10 years ago but doesn’t look the way it did back then,  you need an anti-aging cleanser. Right now.

In true double edged sword fashion, oilier skin can be a bit high maintenance but it does age less aggressively. The new Perfect Balance Foaming Cleanser seems like a hybrid of Paula’s Choice Skin Balancing and Hydralight cleansers, both of which I have used with great success. Part of the anti-aging Resist range, it reminds me that I’m all grown up.

Despite its creamy consistency, Resist Perfect Balance Foaming Cleanser does not feel too rich on my congested skin. It is actually refreshing, reminiscent of a gel cleanser but without stripping the skin’s natural oils. It foams up beautifully into a silky froth that rinses off and leaves the skin completely free of dirt and oil, yet feeling soft, nourished and hydrated. Whether late or just lazy, as of late I’ve been shaving with it on before rinsing and while, I *really* like my PC4MEN Shaving Cream, this has been surprisingly effective as well!

With hydrating glycerin and moisture binding hyaluronic acid, there are skin repairing ceramides, amino acids, Aloe Leaf Extract, and Sunflower Seed Oil. In uniform fashion of every PC product, the new Resist addition is fragrance and color free, non-irritating, and hasn’t been tested on animals.

Having had incredible luck with many Paula’s Choice products over the last few years (especially the cleansers), this combination skin friendly formula is the most luxurious in my opinion. With 1-2 pumps used twice a day, the 6.4 oz. bottle will easily last you a couple of months.

Paula’s Choice Resist Perfect Balance Foaming Cleanser is paired with a matching Weightless Toner. More of a repairing treatment, this soft liquid helps to build collagen and plumps up the skin with hyaluronic acid. Loaded with antioxidants and anti-irritants, it tightens pores, reduces redness, and keeps oily skin comfortably hydrated. Available at PaulasChoice.com, the Cleanser retails for $18 and Toner for $23 (4 oz.) where you can also try a sample size for just 80 cents a packet. Which is genius, so…
