New & Improved: Dr. Dennis Gross Hyaluronic Marine Oil-Free Moisture Cushion

Known for his cult Alpha-Beta peels, Dr. Dennis Gross has mastered glow boosting solutions for every skin type, concern, and age group. His latest, the new and improved Hyaluronic Marine Oil-Free Moisture Cushion, is the recent re-launch and for anyone fearing change, it’s actually better than the original. Too often, ‘improving’ an already popular formula leads to heartache and disappointment among brand loyalists, but after having tried this latest release for the past few weeks, I can say I am thrilled with this upgrade. And I have a feeling that you will be, too.

So, what’s new?

The lush gel-cream moisturizer is now infused with Japanese marine algae from the waters of Okinawa. Referred to as ‘sea grapes’ or ‘green caviar,’ this unique species of algae is fortified with essential amino acids and B vitamins to provide firming, nourishing, and deep hydration benefits. In other words, the new ingredient deck steps up the anti-aging game. Impossible to ignore, the jar is now crisp blue with a metallic lid to match. Loves.

Texture, scent, etc

The new Hyaluronic Marine remains completely oil free and features an incredibly light texture. It glides on the skin like a dream; it absorbs almost immediately and does not feel tacky. There is nothing worse than a sticky finish to a product seemingly so airy. Sadly, many consumers stray from gel formulas for that very reason (stickiness). Dr. Dennis Gross delivers the most breathable, luxurious, and comforting hydrator to any skin type in this impressive launch.

If you’re familiar with the previous version, this newness features the same aqua blue hue and identical fresh invigorating aroma. Fueled by Hyaluronic Acid (*the* most moisture binding agent in existence), it also highlights Glycolic and Lactic Acids (to mildly resurface), Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Collagen, Aloe Leaf, Coconut, and Watermelon Extracts among others. Day or night, Hyaluronic Marine is a great option for those struggling with dehydrated, congested, or dull skin. A perfect follow up to any of the Alpha-Beta peels Dr. Dennis Gross offers or to my favorite–Clinical Concentrate Radiance Booster, it also performs well under a face oil (especially at night).

Way more than a basic hydrator, this gel cream is bound to be a warm weather staple of mine. All around superb, I highly recommend the new and improved Hyaluronic Marine, especially to the male audience that prefers weightless, matte, and straightforward formulations.

This was so helpful, thank you!! I was a loyal fan of the original and skeptical about the new one, you’ve inspired me! I hope it goes on just as well under makeup, eek!
