First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Liquid Recovery

When your acronym is FAB, you have some serious standards to live up to. First Aid Beauty does not disappoint. Over the last few years, the range of products they offer has expanded from basics to targeted treatments. In a way, the launch of Ultra Repair Liquid Recovery was my destiny. I have way too much experience with certain clear liquids… so they had me at recovery.

Pre-treatment steps are all the rage. There are essences, lotions and a variety of mists from which to choose. One such pre-treatment is First Aid Ultra Repair Beauty Liquid Recovery, a clear liquid with absolutely no scent. The crazy part is, for a liquid that neither looks nor smells like anything, it delivers insanely intense hydration. And everything happens before you even moisturize!

Liquid Recovery is the first thing my face requires on mornings after those particularly hellish late nights during which my skin has taken a beating. I almost always wake up looking 93% parched. Recovery is refreshing with almost a cooling effect. Facing the day (pun!!!) gets much easier after that first application.

The hydration is a result of hyaluronic acid, which binds moisture and plumps up the skin while reversing free radical damage at the same time. Rich in polyphenols and amino acids, oak kernel extract soothes the skin and propolis repairs any UV damage. Ahnfeltia Concinna Extract (algae extract) reduces redness making this a perfect fit for those who suffer from rosacea.

The proper sequence for successful application is cleansing, toning, treating and moisturizing. SPF is always the last step in the process. Ultra Repair Liquid Recovery is more of a tonic than a toner. I skip my toner on days I use FAB Liquid Recovery. By the way, if you layer treatment products, start with those of thinnest consistency.

Liquid Recovery is suitable for all skin types including even the most sensitive. The suggested use is twice a day immediately after washing the face. This incredibly universal product is a must-have in everyone’s medicine cabinet. It definitely gets under my skin.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Liquid Recovery comes in a 1.25oz bottle and retails for $30. Available at FirstAidBeauty.com.
