Moringa, Noon, and Night – Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm

emma hardie moringa cleansing balm review
Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm

I first encountered Emma Hardie through another male blogger, who strongly suggested I try her Moringa Cleansing Balm. Drowning in product at the time, I foolishly passed on it while in London last Spring. Fast forward six months to a scene ripped out of a dream sequence: I am sitting at the Emma Hardie HQ with the genius herself playing with the best selling cleanser and chatting about skincare. Yep, sounds about right.

OMG EMMA

Star struck by the person who is Emma Hardie, I am distracted by the impeccably immaculate application of her mascara as well as her flawless choice of lipstick that matches her red jacket. Immediately, the passion and excitement for her skincare range become a constant in our dialogue. A few days earlier, I scooped up an Emma Hardie mask at Space NK and used it in the hotel to get a feel for one of her star products. Blown away by her hospitality and approachability, my last day in London turned out to be the highlight of the trip.

Amazing Face, indeed.

THE BALM

I want to know everything about the Moringa Cleansing Balm. Compared by some to the EVE LOM cleanser, it resembles it in concept only. Let’s just say it puts the EVE in ‘never’… As in ‘never again.’ And I really did like the EVE LOM Morning Time cleanser! (PROOF). From its consistency to its scent and performance, the Moringa Cleansing Balm is among the most luxurious face cleanser formulas.

Pot of Gold!

The smooth texture of Moringa Cleansing Balm melts into a silky oil when applied to dry skin. With bitter orange, mandarin and bergamot oils, expect face cleansing to become a seriously exhilarating experience. Unfamiliar with Moringa Oil, I asked Emma why she chose to source this exotic tree as her key ingredient. Her response: thorough research. Every part of this miraculous tree that grows in Africa and Asia has enormous healing and nourishing benefits.

With her holistic approach to skincare, Emma Hardie encourages each of us to celebrate our skin and its self-healing benefits. Using a one-of-a-kind product application technique, we are taught to follow the pattern of a line rather than to adopt the ubiquitous circular motion. While Emma Hardie herself emphasizes ‘lines, not circles,’ I find her technique more Xs, fewer Os. By applying and removing the Moringa Cleansing Balm in a cross (or plus sign) pattern, you stimulate the connective tissue under the skin, which has a firming, plumping, and softening effect on our complexions. Who knew, right? P.S. Wet or dry, using the microfiber cloth that accompanies the balm feels equally fabulous. XX

THE EXPERIENCE

Non-negotiable is how I choose to describe the Moringa Cleansing Balm from Emma Hardie. While I try, use, and enjoy an obscene amount of product, I turn to this jar cleanser as my safety net every single time. Aromatherapy aside, the moment you apply it, and inhale… you’ll want it do it all over again. Almost inspired to do something good for your skin, this cleansing ritual may have you running late.

Every skin type can benefit from the Moringa Cleansing Balm. It hydrates, soothes, purifies, and rejuvenates. If you deal with dry patches anywhere, use it as a spot treatment SOS balm! With countless, well-deserved awards and a favorite among celebs, editors, and bloggers alike, UK’s best kept secret of a cleanser is finally available in the US! Check out SpaceNK.com for the much anticipated Stateside arrival of this fabulous range!
