Touching Base – Charlotte Tilbury The Retoucher

Last Updated on January 6, 2017 by omgbart

When Charlotte Tilbury The Retoucher stick launched in the US recently, you know I was like, “where do I sign?” Most of all a concealer, this latest addition to my pen case is also a subtle corrector and highlighter–and one with brightening properties. Every aspect of its performance is enhanced by skincare benefits. I shall be adding testing and writing about clickable concealer pens to my resume. Writing about pens is a skill. Just think about it. #NoPenPusher

What is it?

Imitating the digital tool of any photo editing software, The Retoucher stick works magic on any imperfection. If the dark circles under the eyes or a blemish are in the way of a perfect selfie or a new profile picture, the Conceal & Treat stick is this makeup goddess’ send. If you're just looking to feel great leaving the house, it's perfect for that, too. After all, when you look good, you feel good…that's the oldest cliché in the world, and as they all go, it’s true. #TouchUp

Details…

The Retoucher comes in ten shades. Four are variants of a ‘medium.’ With no psychic abilities that I know of, I blindly chose the #3 Medium and… it’s perfect. This stick treat is my new workhorse for mostly concealing and evening out the overall tone when I’m short on time. The creamy texture blends in beautifully and strong pigmentation offers solid medium coverage. Its light consistency makes it a perfect choice for fans of breathable concealers. #IntuitiveMedium

Throwing Shade #3

Charlotte Tilbury uses more yellow than pink undertones in #3 Medium, but I am still able to highlight and brighten. Added silicone elastomer pearls morph into the skin, which addresses any discoloration. The hydrating benefits of black tea extract make The Retoucher completely non-drying. Simply twist the bottom of the stick to dispense the product via its brush tip. Dot around areas or spots that need concealing and pat, dab, tap. The Retoucher lasts for quite a while but if you have a long day ahead of you, set The Retoucher with a bit of powder. #CanTouchThis!

Among concealers, most everyone is familiar with the clickable pen delivery system and many of us already have a favorite. For those who do, The Retoucher from Charlotte Tilbury is still worth checking out. The wide range of shades, added skincare benefits, and stellar performance place it among my other favorites (having ONE concealer is equivalent to not having a concealer at all). The gorgeous signature rose gold packaging alone is an asset in any makeup bag. Pick your shade for $35 at beautylish.com, charlottetilbury.com or Nordstrom.com. #BeInTouch
