As an unofficial GLAMGLOW mascot, the latest launch triggered a new level of excitement in yours truly. Venturing into a new beauty category altogether, my favorite mud makers debuted GLOWSTARTER Mega Illuminating Moisturizer last week and yes, the game has just changed. A makeup skincare hybrid, the latest addition is so legit, it takes multitasking to a whole new level of YASSS. Impressive all around, this remarkable formula delivers superb hydration and a boost of radiance that results in the perfect definition of ‘dewy finish.’
If you worry about the ‘illuminating’ factor of GLAMGLOW’s GLOWSTARTER being too intense, don’t. First to admit, I feared the sparkle coming off as glow in the dark, not a good look on me. Nowhere near the ‘mass’ shimmer effect, this brilliant concoction serves subtle iridescence realness that rivals the most sought after red carpet glows. Best of all, it comes in a universally flattering ‘nude glow’ shade that perfectly balances its apricot and champagne notes.
Fueled by ultra hydrating Hyaluronic Acid, GLOWSTARTER is also packed with moisturizing Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, and skin renewing Ceramides. The brand’s signature TEOXI Golden Root complex brightens dull, tired looking skin while pearl particles diffuse fine lines and imperfections. Because anything GLAMGLOW smells good enough to eat, this latest creation evokes a gorgeous blend of floral and fruity, which I’m guessing is orange creamsicle.
Why is it so perfect? It’s fast absorbing, completely non-greasy, and more flexible than a yoga guru. Ideal under makeup or worn on its own, it can also be used as a highlighter, a neck and decollete enhancer, and a touch up that takes you from desk to dinner in ten seconds flat. Instantly energizing, this wakeup call of a treatment is also very lightweight, making it a great option for every skin type.
During a presentation by Glenn and Shannon Dellimore, the Founders of GLAMGLOW, we were encouraged to mix loose powder into a sample jar as part of a custom fusion activity. My personal pick was to add a touch of bronzer into my jar for a deeper, summer appropriate glow, which I am currently loving. Try it with silver, gold, or pink hues for a more festive effect.
Available at Sephora.com and glamglowmud.com. $49 – 1.7 oz.
