Well, hello there, November. If you’re thinking this post will be all about the latest Beauty Hero discovery, you’re half right. This month, you get to experience two full-size products from Mukti Organics: the Age Defiance Eye Serum and Queen of The Night crème. The eye serum is lovely–it really is. Not my favorite eye care formula out there but it moisturizes quite well and has a great lightweight, yet creamy texture. The night cream, however, completely blew me away. It’s so good, it needs to be discussed in more detail. Immediately. All about the November Hero pick below.
What is Queen of The Night crème?
Without getting too wordy, this Mukti moisturizer is luxuriously rich and most definitely best suited for night time use. This robust formula is ideal for those with mature and normal-to-dry complexions, but it will also work on other skin types when used less generously. I’m going to repeat myself yet again (but it’s a helpful reminder): I am a textbook case of combination skin that is pretty congestion prone. With that said, I am finding this almost balm-like night cream to be a brilliant option as we enter the cooler months.
What makes this Mukti moisturizer so good?
The first two ingredients in Queen of The Night are Aloe Leaf Juice and Rose Flower Water. Followed by Glycerin and Squalane. Then water. This juicy base gives this night crème a beautiful and subtle rose aroma. But its scent is purely a perk. It delivers an instant dose of skin plumping hydration on contact. We’re only getting started, too. Additionally, Mukti ensures the formula is also packed with Ceramides and Peptides which strengthen the skin by supporting collagen production. Take that, gravity!
Other ingredients worth a shout out
Since Mukti prides itself on its sourcing and using rare botanicals exclusively found in Australian flora, Queen of The Night boasts some noteworthy finds. Kakadu Plum Extract–a brightening hero– protects against free radical damage and tackles stubborn hyperpigmentation. Kangaroo Paw Flower Extract is rich in Ferulic Acid which helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and corrects uneven skin tone. Native to the arid desert regions of Australia, Bush Tomato Extract has superb soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. I told you, this is a beautifully formulated moisturizer on a mission.
How to use Queen of The Night
As with any richer, balm-like texture, it’s important to warm up a small (emphasis on small) amount of product between your fingertips before pressing it into your face. This way, you avoid tugging and pulling at the skin. I usually layer the Mukti night crème over a retinol serum to seal my evening routine. On the nights on which I skip retinol, I press it into damp skin after a generous spritz (or seven) of my favorite face mist (it’s The Optimist by Maya Chia and also available at Beauty Heroes). From the texture to the scent, this sensory experience feels like an end-of-day selfcare treat.
What’s really unique about Queen of The Night is how it melts into the skin without feeling the slightest bit greasy. It’s hard to explain but while the cream absorbs completely, it somehow creates this comfortable veil of moisture that I still feel upon waking up hours later. I’m seriously obsessed.
The Mukti Organics Queen of The Night moisturizer is $88 (50ml) at beauty-heroes.com but you can get it at a much more affordable option as part of the November Discovery (which is valued at $166) if you become a monthly subscriber. For various pricing tiers click here.
