Peel at Home – Baby Foot Exfoliant

The night before I launched my blog I met with someone whom I only knew through Instagram. Over drinks at Tribeca Grand Hotel in downtown NYC, she told me about a foot peel from Japan that I had to check out. Three months later, I’m happy to say that Emily and I have become good friends and that I am completely obsessed with Baby Foot. Meeting strangers from the Internet is not always a good idea, but Baby Foot exfoliant sure is. #Naturally

People are weird about feet. It’s summer though, so please do something with them because socks and sandals are…  NO. I lucked out with pretty good looking feet. Keeping them soft, however, when I refuse to wear anything but flip flops used to be rough. #NoMore

Baby Foot uses 17 fruit acids to exfoliate the dead skin and it’s absolutely painless. It consists of a single set of plastic booties filled with a gel that is a blend of lactic, glycolic, malic, citric, and other acids. It is also the easiest peel to use. #FeetOnTheGround

Easy as 1 2 3!
Easy as 1 2 3!

Step 1: soak your feet briefly before using the peel.

Step 2: use the sticky strips included to secure each bootie, sit down and watch an episode of Real Housewives of Your Choice.

Step 3: after an hour, rinse your feet with soap and water.

About three days after wearing Baby Soft booties and right when you’re thinking it totally didn’t work, the peeling begins. I woke up and thought I was hallucinating. My feet looked like those of a floater pulled out of the Hudson River after a month. Skin comes off in sheets! It’s the craziest thing. It goes on for another 3 days or so. Note to self: use Baby Soft a week before debuting anything open-toed. #Scary

This Made in Japan invention is finally available at beauty.com so you no longer have to wonder if the Amazon listing you’re eyeing is legit. At $25, Baby Foot costs as much as a basic pedicure yet delivers completely mind blowing results. It is not a miracle product that will make your feet perfect forever, but it’s plenty safe to use every couple of weeks. My results keep for two months or so. #PutYourFeetUp
