The number of people I’ve turned onto the Pixi Glow Tonic is probably in the hundreds. Not that I’m counting or anything. While known for its superb makeup range, the brand’s Glycolic, Ginseng and Aloe Vera concoction is among the industry’s cult classics. When Pixi Beauty announced the release of a fully comprehensive skincare lineup, you have no idea. Somebody screamed like a girl.

Not messing around, the rollout of Pixi SkinTreats includes sixteen (suh-weet!!!) formulas, five of which are part of the Glow family. With options to cleanse, exfoliate, treat and moisturize, these brand new complexion perfectors boast impressive ingredient decks with budget friendly price tags. Feeling lucky at having scored early access, I’ve incorporated three of the latest Pixi gems into my routine over the last month. Current mood: can’t get enough. Here are some highlights!

Glow Mud Cleanser. In one word: YASSSS. My combination skin lives for Glycolic Acid so anything in the Glow range is a holy grail in the fight against congestion and enlarged pores. This Deep Purifying Cleanser has a lively herbal aroma and a creamy mud consistency that turns into silky froth upon contact with water. Fueled by exfoliating Glycolic Acid to resurface dull skin, it is infused with Chamomile and Aloe Vera to calm and comfort. A nourishing blend of plant oils removes all traces of dirt and pollutants without drying nor causing tightness in the skin. Truly a treatment cleanser, it is a fantastic option for anyone struggling with clogged pores and uneven tone. Major props for the upright tube packaging. $18 (4.5 oz.)

Seriously decadent, the Nourishing Cleansing Balm is aromatherapy in a jar. Cream in color and balm in texture, it liquifies upon contact with skin and melts away every stitch, even waterproof makeup. The combination of Sweet Almond Oil, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter and Vitamin E, cleanses, nourishes and protects against free radical damage. Warm up a small amount and apply it directly to dry skin. As the balm becomes an oil, massage it over the face and neck while inhaling the soothing aroma. Wipe it off with a damp cloth. If you’re a fan of double cleansing, use the Nourishing Cleansing Balm first. Simple and gorgeous. Just like Gwyneth. $20 (3 oz.)

Dubbed as the 15 Minute Facial, the Glow Mud Mask is an intensive treatment for fatigued skin in need of a boost. Rich in skin balancing minerals, this Kaolin based mask is infused with purifying Sea Salt, firming Sea Mud, nourishing botanicals such as Jojoba, Hops, and Squalane. Skin brightening Ginseng Root Extract and energizing Rosemary deliver an immediate, lasting glow. A thin layer dries without crumbling and rinses off easily. My love hate relationship with this mask stems from its 1 ounce size. While the tube is a perfect travel staple, I wish it were triple the size so I wouldn’t run out as often. Without a doubt, one of the fanciest mud masks out there. $22 (1 oz.)

In other great news, all Pixi SkinTreats are available at pixibeauty.com and they are all coming to Target.com any day now!

Next on my radar: Glow Peel Pads, Beauty Sleep Cream, Overnight Glow Serum.

I love the Glow Mud Cleanser and cannot wait to try the mask later. And I’m seriously head over heels with their Glow Tonic – picking another one at Target hopefully this weekend. Happy Friday Bart! 😀
