The Renewal Oil launched over a decade ago, and I was there for it. I’ve since tried more face oils than I can count, but this one has stayed a genuinely great memory. Taking the now-ubiquitous concept of a facial oil to new heights, and infused with the brand’s legendary “Miracle Broth,” this dual-phase formula combines the proven anti-aging power of marine extracts with plant oils and botanicals for serious hydration and glow.
Supreme in every way, the La Mer Renewal Oil nourishes and firms with a real perk of luminosity. One thing to remember: shake the bottle before each use (just press down the dropper pump first). While formulated specifically for the face, this renewing blend also works on hair, cuticles, or any dry, rough patches on your skin, which feel neither cute nor comfortable.
True to its core, this La Mer treatment is fueled by the healing and regenerating powers of brown and green algae. Combined with meadowfoam, jojoba, sweet almond, sesame, cranberry, eucalyptus leaf, and sea buckthorn oils, this medley strengthens, softens, and repairs. Rich in antioxidants, omega fatty acids, and vitamin E, this ultra-moisturizing oil manages to be surprisingly silky and lightweight. How do you use the La Mer Renewal Oil? The options are many. Some mix it with the iconic Cream, and while I concur, it also blends beautifully with the Soft Cream. I liked adding a drop to the Treatment Lotion, morning or evening. When my skin needed extra help, a few drops mixed into the Intensive Revitalizing Mask worked like a charm.

When used on its own, the Renewal Oil absorbs fairly quickly and doesn’t feel greasy. If you aren’t custom-blending it, pat it in after a serum and before a moisturizer.
