The newly launched Kiehl’s Iris Extract Activating Treatment Essence is destined to become a summer must have for many. More than just on-trend, the concept of an essence came to us from Asia and has grown to become a crucial step of a committed skincare regimen. With countless options at every beauty counter, Kiehl’s scores high marks with their formulation and price point. Their Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash came out around the same time last year changing my life for the better so I may be just a little bit biased.

Highly nourishing Iris Root Extract increases collagen production, enhances elasticity, and brightens while Hyaluronic Acid plumps up dull, fatigued skin.
The biggest hero, Lipo Hydroxy Acid, features serious pore refining, anti-inflammatory and non-comedogenic properties. Similar to Salicylic Acid, it balances the skin to its perfect pH level of 5.5, which means anything you use after an LHA application, including Vitamin C or Retinoids, will perform flawlessly.

Facial oils layer very well over it as well.
