Kate Somerville RetAsphere Micro Peel – Glycolic + Retinol = <3

Most say it takes a village, but it actually took one facialist to the Hollywood elite to combine two of the world’s greatest anti-aging ingredients in a double charged formula. The Kate Somerville RetAsphere Micro Peel boasts the powerful Glycolic Acid and Retinol to smooth out any imperfections and reveal a fresher, more youthful complexion. Time saving and results oriented, this bedtime badass goes on every other night to transform aging skin while you barely lift a finger to apply it.

If you’re reading this post, there is a good chance you are already familiar with Glycolic Acid or Retinol. One of the most powerful and flexible compounds, Glycolic is known to address blackheads, congested pores, dullness, oiliness and even more advanced signs of aging such as fine lines.

Retinol, the most potent form of Vitamin A, is strong enough to improve the depth of any wrinkle, sun damage, and acne. Long gone are my twenties, so it’s now a necessity, not a luxury, for me to experience the benefits derived from both ingredients.

The innovation

Featuring its trademark Smart Release™ Carrier System, the Kate Somerville RetAsphere Micro Peel infuses pure Retinol gently into the skin. Complemented by a blend of 10% Glycolic Acid and Lactose, this advanced night time treatment is definitely innovative. Because this peel is also jacked up with ultra hydrating Hyaluronic Acid, you will never experience the dryness nor irritation you may associate with Glycolic or Retinol.

When and how:

Every other night, apply a couple of pumps of RetAsphere Micro Peel to the face and neck after cleansing. Even in winter, my combination skin does not require an additional layer of moisturizer. If your skin tends to be dry, you may benefit from a basic night cream without any actives as a precaution. The slightly yellow lotion has little to no scent and absorbs immediately.

Having used prescription Retinol for years, the 20 minute wait needed to add moisturizer was often a challenge when all I wanted was to crash for the night. Much more practical, this Kate Somerville solution delivers similar anti-aging benefits with a more efficient and simplified every-other-night routine.

While overnight results will include significant clarity, Retinol as a key ingredient takes about 3-4 weeks of consistent use to see optimum results. It is also crucial that you wear SPF during the day while experimenting with Retinol or Glycolic Acid since both increase your skin’s sensitivity during daylight.

Except that this article states: “Retinol, the most potent form of Vitamin E, is strong enough to improve the depth of any wrinkle, sun damage, and acne.” Wrong. Retinol is Vitamin A.
