GLAMGLOW Waterburst Hydrated Glow Moisturizer

It’s here!!

Adding something a little more lightweight to its daily face care repertoire, GLAMGLOW launched Waterburst Hydrated Glow Moisturizer earlier this month and this combination and dehydrated complected groupie couldn’t be more excited.

Having decided to extend our Thanksgiving holiday visit to San Francisco even further west, I found myself on the plane to Tokyo slathering the latest GLAMGLOW moisturizer on myself–and my husband. Because aren’t 11 hours at 32,000 ft the perfect way to test drive anything that promises deep, lasting hydration?

Literally all I had on during a flight to Tokyo.

What is it?

The new formula is the third in the GLAMGLOW moisturizer line-up and joins Glowstarter™ and Volcasmic™, the latter of which has been my trusted go-to, in spite of its slightly odd name. Suitable for all skin types, Waterburst™ provides a much-needed boost of hydration to dull and lackluster looking complexions. Considerably more lightweight in texture than its GLAM-counterparts, this newness is evocative of K-beauty. And speaking of… it is, indeed, Made in Korea.

Give this one a try even If you typically avoid gel textures either because they feel sticky or because they may leave a trace of film behind. When it comes to consistency and irl experience, it falls right between the Dr. Dennis Gross Hyaluronic Marine Moisture Cushion (oil-free) and the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream (a richer slip). Admittedly, that may just be my personal combination skin barometer.

Light & Lush

Why do I love it?

Since our bodies consist mainly of water, external factors such as sun exposure, environmental pollutants or happy hour indulgences can trigger dehydration, which causes the skin to lose its natural, vibrant bounce. Think of your skin on a morning after one too many drinks or a long flight — it is probably ashy, patchy, and just not cute. Enter my favorite superhero ingredient, Hyaluronic Acid and GLAMGLOW Waterbust™ Hydrated Glow Moisturizer that is full of it. And more.

quick absorbing

Ok, so what’s in it?

Fueled by Triple Hyaluronic Acid Complex, the formula features varying molecular weights of this magical ingredient to ensure immediate and lasting hydration. GLAMGLOW’s promise of results that last 72 hours sounds impressive, but you probably do need to shower and reapply. Because, that’s like two days. That said, a single application of Waterburst™ kept my skin vibrant and juicy all the way from San Francisco to Tokyo.

ingredients or ingrediences if you’re a Tre

This GLAMGLOW masterpiece boasts its signature TEOXI move, this time derived from Blue Nymph Lily Extract, which quenches the thirst of parched skin. Water-rich in minerals from the Volcanic Island of Jeju, Squalane, Meadowfoam and Hazel Seed Oils nourish and bring back your supple. Replenishing Glycerin softens and protects against any loss of moisture. Dimethicone is listed as the second ingredient, so do keep that in mind. My skin tolerates it, but some may find it a dealbreaker. Lastly, the orange creamsicle aroma is definitely right on point.

$49 (50ml) available at Sephora.com. Ugh, I know, it’s a dollar away from free shipping. Get one of the mono-dose sleeping masks, that’s what I do.
