Missing the launch of the Diptyque skincare range last year is officially one of my most devastating beauty casualties. This weekend, I caught up with the rest of the world and welcomed Multi-Use Exfoliating Clay for the Face to my heavily rotated arsenal of Spring renewal treatments and it has quickly become a new fancy favorite. From the packaging to its ingredients to its performance, this ‘Made in France’ find is all sorts of outstanding.
What is it?
Loosely translated from Argile de Gommage pour le Visage, this clay based mask-scrub utilizes cleansing and nourishing ingredients. Its scent is a combination of herbal notes of yerba-mate and floral undertones of violet. Depending on your needs, you can use it for a deep cleanse, to exfoliate, or merely to soothe. Unique yet uncomplicated, this Diptyque gem excels as both a detoxifying treatment and a conditioning resurfacer. A true counter top stunner, the composition of this 2-in-1 formula is just flexible enough to work on all skin types, tones, and age groups.
What’s in it?
Soft drying Kaolin is infused with Apricot Kernel Oil to balance the purifying properties with skin comforting levels of moisture. Oat Extract and Rice Powder provide amazing regenerating and anti-inflammatory benefits and crushed marble makes this exfoliating scrub pretty one of a kind. This facial product delivers a remarkable level of smoothness. Combined with Retinyl Palmitate and various minerals, this anti-aging, repairing and skin softening clay also controls excessive oiliness.
How-To
If you want to use Diptyque Multi-Use Exfoliating Clay as a scrub, apply a small amount on clean, damp skin, and massage it in with circular motions. Sounds like what you would do with any scrub, but the fresh and radiant complexion you’ll see after rinsing is superb. As a regenerating mask, apply it to a dry face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Activate it with water for a deep cleanse boost and enjoy a full-on pore refining and glow boosting experience.
Known for some of the most iconic scents found anywhere, Diptyque has been a home fragrance constant at our place for years. Universal and exceptional, the Baies and Feu de Bois candles are my non-negotiable must-haves. In the aromatherapy department, the Argile de Gommage face treatment does not disappoint. An aesthetic that blends the old world apothecary feeling of Santa Maria Novella and the modern luxury of La Mer, I can’t wait to explore more of the Diptyque skincare range.
