Farmaesthetics Facial To-Go: Spa Grade Travel Essentials

Love the giftable box! (because if I get one more cosmetics bag, I swear to God…)

My favorite way to experience new brands or formulas? Try-me sized discovery sets. Combining skincare with my gypsy like passion for travel, there is only one thing I enjoy about packing: deciding which products to take along! A glow boosting highlight of our recent weekend in Maine was the bespoke Farmaesthetics Facial To-Go kit. With options tailored to various skin types, I suggest picking one up before your next getaway. If you’re planning a staycation, get one for a much needed pamper sesh.

If you’re looking for full size recommendations: THESE TWO!

Farmaesthetics?

Clever name aside, the decadent range of skin care can be found in some of the best spas around the world. Hailing from one of my favorite places on the planet, Rhode Island, each formula in the collection pure and luxurious. It is as clean, green, and good for the skin as it is for the environment. Those who caught my rose themed Valentine’s Day post will recall the Vassar Rose Exfoliating Polish–seriously divine! Lavender enthusiasts need to try the Nourishing Lavender Milk immediately. It’s actually my husband’s go-to moisturizer year round. He smells good…

For Oily Skin

What’s in my Facial To-Go?

Fine Herbal Cleanser (30ml)

Completely unique, this face is was thinner in consistency than most, making it a very fine liquid cleanser indeed. Soap free and only lightly frothy, it removes surface oil, dirt, and impurities prepping the face for treatment. I tend to apply it to dry skin. I massage it in gently and then slowly add water so the soft lather can work its magic. All natural, the herbal scent of Geranium and Lavender provides much needed aromatherapy, especially at the end of a long day. If you wear makeup, use this formula as your second cleanse.

Loves.

Rosehip & Clay Mint Mask (30ml)

Heaven in a jar. This ultra fine powder blend of Rosehips, Peppermint Leaves, and Kaolin Clay is a healing, decongesting, and purifying treatment my skin absolutely adores. A teaspoon mixed with the brand’s Pure Complexion Tonic or water and applied to clean face takes just minutes to dry. This express tightening and brightening treatment is a perfect travel essential regardless of the destination. I replaced tap water with pure green tea for an extra antioxidant boost. Am I crazy or what? It rinses off easily and leaves you looking visibly radiant.

So good.
Just add water. Or essence. Or toner. Or tea.

Farmaesthetics suggests it as a spot treatment, which is a great hack since multi-taskers are the best travel staples. And, what’s worse than dealing with a breakout when on vacation! When traveling, my skin is known to experience congestion. Overextending myself until last call at the hotel bar doesn’t help either, especially when one strives to look well rested. A travel size jar of the superhero Organic Rosehip & Clay Mint Treatment Mask helped with all the above. Just saying.

Pure. Literally.

Pure Complexion Tonic (30ml)

A godsend for those struggling with more oily complexions, this herbal blend of Witch Hazel, Rosewater, Lavender, Chamomile, and Glycerin tightens pores while comfortably hydrating the skin. Whether you choose to apply it with a cotton pad or pat it in directly, this silky liquid works as a luxe astringent without burning nor tingling. It won’t cause dryness either. Soothing and cooling on contact, Pure Complexion Tonic is a great pre-moisturizing prep step day and night.

Other perks include: refillable glass containers, clean ingredient decks, elegant and effective formulas.
