What is it?

What’s in it?
The remarkable fusion of AHAs and BHAs is combined with Witch Hazel, Rice Bran, Clary Sage, and Chestnut Root Extract to reveal that sought after glow without irritation. As the comparison to ‘low-level Glycolic Acid Peel’ would have you believe that glycolic is among the actives, it is actually Lactobionic Acid added by Darphin as the Alpha Hydroxy. As effective as glycolic or lactic (in spite of its larger molecular structure), it is also significantly less sensitizing.
How & When?
Ranking as the strongest exfoliator in the Darphin range, L’Insitute Peel is to be incorporated into your bedtime routine and used just once a week. After cleansing, and with a cotton pad, gently apply the Resurfacing Peel by swiping across dry skin. Since no rinsing is required, wait a minute for the active ingredients to engage, and follow with a moisturizer.
My favorite layer-over-the-new peel formula is whatever serum I am currently rotating (Vitamin C formulas at the moment) with the 8-Flower Nectar Oil Cream on top. Waking up to visibly smoother skin with barely any pores in sight never gets old. Always wear broad spectrum SPF during the day as this at-home peel may make your skin more susceptible to sunburn.
Keep in mind…
A word of caution: don’t be scared off from the very present alcohol aroma (with hints of florals, luckily) and expect a few seconds of tingling. The pH level hovers between 2.5 and 3.5 to ensure there is no burning or irritation. While my combination skin fully embraces the cooling sensation, those with sensitive or very dry complexions, may want to opt for gentler Darphin exfoliating formulas, such as Age-Defying Dermabrasion or Mild Aroma Peeling.
