Finding a luxurious cleanser that not only removes impurities but also nourishes your skin is no easy task. Fortunately, the new Indie Lee CoQ-10 Cream Cleanser ticks all the boxes. This latest addition to the Indie Lee skincare lineup is making waves in the beauty community for all the right reasons. Inspired by the brand’s best-selling toner, this prequel step is not to be missed. And if creamy, lotion-like cleansers are your thing, you’ll be absolutely obsessed.
But first, what is CoQ-10?
At the heart of this cream cleanser lies Coenzyme Q-10, or CoQ-10, a powerful antioxidant that plays a crucial role in maintaining skin health. CoQ-10 helps to neutralize free radicals, reduce oxidative stress, and support the skin’s natural renewal process, resulting in a more youthful and radiant complexion. With regular use, you can expect a firmer, smoother, and visibly more radiant complexion. And since Indie Lee’s Co-Q10 toner has been a bestseller for years, the number of requests flooding her inbox spearheaded the formulation of this new launch.
What’s in the CoQ-10 cleanser?
Formulated with a blend of hydrating and soothing ingredients, including Jojoba and Grapeseed Oils, this cream cleanser effectively removes makeup, dirt, and impurities without stripping the skin of its natural oils. The coconut-derived surfactant ensures that no foam is necessary to achieve a perfectly cleansed complexion that won’t feel tight or dry. Instead, indulge in a gentle cleansing experience that leaves your skin refreshed and ready for the next skincare steps. P.S. Papaya Extract, which happens to be my favorite fruit enzyme, lingers towards the end of INCI, ensuring its gently exfoliating powers give us that glow.
Who is it for?
Whether you have dry, sensitive, or combination skin, the Indie Lee CoQ-10 Cream Cleanser will work for you. The magic of this creamy formula lies in its flexibility. It melts effortlessly onto the skin, delivering a surge of moisture while calming any signs of irritation. If you’re a fan of gentle morning cleansing, this is an ideal AM one-stepper. For those who prefer a double cleanse at the end of the day, this would be your first step. As mentioned earlier, it’s a non-foaming formula which is also fragrance-free.
Does it replace a cleansing balm?
Not quite. I find the CoQ-10 Cream Cleanser works great at removing super subtle makeup like bronzer or tinted SPF. If I wore the Jones Road WTF (which is a tinted moisture balm) and my undereye concealer, I’d probably opt for an oil-based cleansing balm first. This is probably why I absolutely love this new formula in the morning – it is excellent at bringing the moisture cushion back after my stronger retinoids or resurfacing acids I reach for at bedtime. Also worth noting, the new cream cleanser is to be applied on damp skin vs. a traditional cleansing balm which goes on dry skin.
Final thoughts
This is a lovely and luxurious cream cleanser. It reminds me of the first step in a professional facial when a milky solution magically gets your face ready for treatment without a trace of lather. I will forever favor the Brightening Cleanser as one of the best face washes for my combination skin, but the CoQ-10 formula has been incredibly kind to my complexion as a morning cleanse.
