#ProPeel – Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Medi-Spa Peel

When Dr. Dennis Gross launched his Alpha Beta Medi-Spa Peel earlier this year, my move from NYC felt less traumatic. Even though I’ve never visited his practice, knowing a Manhattan dermatologist is offering an at-home peel inspired by one of his treatments made it a bit easier to let go of the best city in the world. The truth is, if you want to live in NYC to take advantage of ‘all it has to offer’, don’t. After almost 12 years all the way downtown in Tribeca, I dreaded going above 14th Street. At-home is where it’s at. Thanks, Doc!

Dr. Gross already makes a phenomenal Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel that even comes in Extra Strength for an accelerated boost of radiance. The Alpha Beta Glow Pads are a combo of peel and self tanner if radiance with a dash of color is what you’re after. The new Alpha Beta Medi-Spa Peel, however, is literally what the doctor ordered. This weekly, professional grade treatment is what every skin–exposed to environmental damage, stress and pollution–needs. And you don’t have to live in NYC to accomplish all that.

The treatment consists of two easy steps: a Multi-Acid Concentrate soaked pad and Firming Peptide Milk, Alpha Beta Medi-Spa Peel is very user friendly. There are sixteen pads and you use one of them every week. Tame your mane with the included elastic headband, tighten that velcro closure, and wash your face. Swipe the pad gently across the face, concentrating on your T-zone or areas that need the most help (enlarged pores, scarring, hyperpigmentation). Wait 3-5 minutes and without rinsing, apply Step 2: the Firming Peptide Milk. Do not rinse after the second step and follow with a night cream.

One.
One.

Thicker than usual, the textured Multi-Acid Concentrate pad exfoliates almost on contact but the blend of 15 different acids is what earns the pro badge. Powerful and deep, exfoliation is safe thanks to glycolic, lactic, mandelic and a dozen other acids, including some salicylic. Rehmannia Glutinosa Root is the star botanical that supports natural collagen and maintains the efficacy of acids. Completely non-irritating, the first step tingled slightly only in areas where I shave daily. Don’t go by me though since my shaving routine resembles a scene from Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Hence my spotty acid sensitivity.

Two.
Two.

The Firming Peptide Milk is loaded with even more botanical extracts and potent Retinol for a soothing, hydrating, and renewing experience overnight. Almost runny in its consistency, Step 2 glides on and absorbs quickly. Neutralizing all the powerful acids, this lotion comforts a freshly exfoliated complexion and is gentle while it continues to work overnight. After 4 treatments, my glow lasts a little bit longer after each application.

Whether you wish for less noticeable pores, the softened look of fine lines and wrinkles, or a more even skin tone, do not miss this haute at-home treatment. Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Medi-Spa Peel retails for $110 and with 16 applications, that’s 4 months of flawless skin. If I were a QVC host, I might even use the phrase ‘for less than a dollar a day’. Get yours from Sephora.com, Nordstrom.com or Beauty.com.
