*NEW* Alpyn Beauty Instant Bright Eye Cream

Alpyn Beauty skincare routine.

As an unapologetic eye cream groupie, there is nothing I enjoy more than a good launch in this very category. A devout loyalist since my early twenties, I have seen firsthand how consistently applying eye cream has positively impacted my well-aging efforts over the years.  Today, Alpyn Beauty officially unveils their Instant Bright Eye Cream and since I scored an early bottle a few weeks ago, I am back to share my thoughts. And to wish the brand Happy Launch Day!

What is the new Alpyn eye cream about?

When Alpyn Beauty arrived on the beauty scene in 2018, the original 4 product edit included the mega-moisturizing Line Filling Eye Balm. Still beloved by many, this product is a fantastic option for those needing to soften the appearance of fine lines. It’s also very much a balm. I find the new Instant Bright Eye cream to be silkier to the touch with a lotion-like texture.

As the weather warms up here in the Northeast, my preference for eye treatment formulas leans strongly toward lighter textures. Especially during the day. The Alpyn newness has a whisper of a tint (it’s a hue that lingers between salmon and peach) to provide an instant brightening effect. It is not a true pigment per se and won’t settle or crease as the day wears on. Again, something I appreciate in my AM routine. And, who doesn’t love an eye cream packaged in a bottle with a pump dispenser?!

What’s in the Instant Bright Eye Cream?

The new Alpyn eye treatment aims to hydrate, brighten, de-puff, soothe, and firm the skin. It is not exactly a short list. And it’s a tall order for any formula. Luckily, the ambitious ingredient deck boasts some impressive picks. Here are the highlights:

  • Peptides: stimulate collagen production which helps firm the skin
  • Niacinamide: brightening
  • Hyaluronic Acid: hydrating, plumping
  • Ceramides: prevent transepidermal water loss, strengthen the skin
  • Caffeine: micro stimulates blood flow for an energized appearance
  • Reneseed: skin firming retinol-alternative, derived from Tobacco Leaf and combined with peptides, it appears on ingredient deck as Nicotiana Benthamiana (Tobacco) Leaf Extract (and) Hexapeptide-40 (and) sh-Polypeptide-76
  • Chamomile Extract: soothing, healing, anti-inflammatory
  • Bakuchiol: stimulates collagen production similar to conventional Retinol
  • Squalane: reduces inflammation, smoothes and soothes the skin
  • Centella Asiatica Extract: moisturizing, soothing, barrier-restoring
Morning application in natural light, no filter.

Why I love the new Alpyn eye treatment

To be perfectly honest, long-term results remain to be seen since I’ve only been using Instant Bright Eye for two weeks. I can say I’ve noticed an instant perk in my tired-looking eyes. I also like how the subtle pigment melts into the skin to ever so slightly mask dullness and signs of fatigue. Most importantly, it absorbs quickly and leaves the skin around my eyes moisturized for hours. If you use concealer during the day, it will layer very well over this new launch. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up here.
