TULA Aqua Infusion Power Liquid (and my 20% off promo code lives on!)

Once considered innovative, the concept of monodose capsules in skincare nowadays seems more like convenient ‘portion control’ than groundbreaking newness. I say this with no hint of shade intended because I travel with a handful of Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Capsules at all times. Elevating the theory, many brands protect the integrity of ingredients by encapsulating actives in microspheres suspended in gel textures. Case and point: the new TULA Aqua Infusion Power Liquid.

What does it do?

For skin that is dull, parched, stressed or for when you need a boost of glow, the latest from TULA is worth exploring. Known for their signature inclusion of Lactococcus Ferment Lysate, a probiotic strain that improves skin barrier function, Power Liquid also regenerates, hydrates, and helps fight free radical damage.

What’s in it?

In addition to the aforementioned probiotic superhero, the new Aqua Infusion ancillary highlights Prickly Pear Stem Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Retinol, and Lactic Acid as well as Vitamins C and E. By compressing this carefully crafted blend into a tiny sphere, each pump of Power Infusion delivers a burst of fresh ingredients in every application. And that’s how you maximize efficacy! Unlike the previously released Gel Cream, Power Liquid is not oil-free. The good news though is that it feels like it is. There is a minimal slip and the skin drinks it in within seconds. Yes, there is added fragrance but I don’t detect a scent.

When & How

Suitable either for your AM/PM routine (or both), I reach for anything containing Lactic Acid and Retinol before bed. I am challenged when it comes to layering multiple formulas, so I find it good to follow up with something slightly richer, like the TULA Day & Night Cream or Kefir Moisture Repair Pressed Oil, especially when your skin feels a bit drier.

Do you need it?

Personally, I find myself using the Aqua Infusion Gel Cream more often than the new Power Liquid, which is a higher emergency booster for me. This is especially the case in the summer when the skin takes a heavier beating as a result of the weather, travel, and an amplified social life. Think of if as a post-weekend reset button.

Aqua Infusion Power Duo

If you’re looking to improve the texture of your skin and to strive for a more luminous look, the Power Liquid is a great option for you. If you’re simply after something super hydrating, go with the Oil-Free Gel Cream. Both pair well with my other TULA favorites such as the Dual-Phase Skin Reviving Treatment Pads, Exfoliating Treatment Mask, and pH Gel Toner.
