Pumpkin Season – Peter Thomas Roth Clinical Peel & Reveal

I have two big fears in life. The first is that I’ll be lying on my death bed wanting the 90 minutes back that I wasted watching ‘From Justin to Kelly’ in 2003. The second is that I will end up purchasing bath and body items that smell like baked goods. #NotJudgingYou

Having amassed drawers full of masks and peels, I’m familiar with the fruit enzymes that make you glow. I’m usually partial to pineapple and papaya but Peter Thomas Roth has come out with a peel that smells so heavenly of pumpkin, I might have only one fear in life left… #OhWell!

I’ve always been a fan of clinical strength skin care lines. Passion is key to success in this industry and Peter Thomas Roth blends it with creativity and imagination that result in consistent innovation. Mr. Roth achieves breakthrough formulas that deliver astonishing results. I’m down.

The full name of my pumpkin favorite is actually Clinical Peel & Reveal Dermal Resurfacer. I often emphasize my love for multi-taskers and this gem is no different. You’d think pumpkin anything would be exclusively a Fall favorite. I didn’t feel 100% last night and the warmer notes of pumpkin were a perfect elixir on this cold dry night as I tried to bounce back. #TheWalkingDead

As with any product of this type, the objective of the “peel exercise” is to reveal smoother, radiant and younger looking skin. The Peel & Reveal magic is provided by peeling, exfoliating and polishing. The peel part comes from AHAs (or Alpha Hydroxy Acids to you), exfoliation is delivered via a pumpkin enzyme, and the polish step is all aluminum oxide. #CrystalClear

Now, even though I do rave about the intoxicating scent, this peel is of clinical strength, so contain yourself and use it only once or twice per week. You want a rosy glow, not a face that looks like ground meat. Tingle does not equal pain. Make sure your face is cleansed properly before applying Peel & Reveal. You want to massage it for a minute or so onto clean, dry skin. I wait 10 minutes and rinse it off. The directions advise to leave it on for 3-7 minutes but since I’m not too sensitive to peels, I always leave it on a bit longer. #overachiever

Also, has anyone succeeded in finding Peter Thomas Roth on Instagram? #HALP

Peter Thomas Roth Clinical Peel and Reveal Dermal Resurfacer comes in a 3.4oz tube and retails for $58. Available at Beauty.com, Ulta.com and Skinstore.com.
