Expanding its mask repertoire, Paula’s Choice launches a brand new Radiance Renewal Mask today and ain’t nobody more thrilled than yours truly. Whether you’re a fan of top notch minimalism or simply struggling with dull, uneven skin tone, you can officially get excited. Since the Skin Recovery mask is a godsend for extreme weather situations on my combination skin and the Skin Balancing formula got me through some of the oiliest days in my twenties, this brand new addition is exactly what I need. Grateful for early access, below is the scoop.

What is it exactly?

For starters, the new Paula’s Choice Radiance Renewal Mask is a no rinse overnight treatment. If you’re familiar with K-beauty, this may remind you of an aqua bomb or a waterlock type product. Extremely lightweight, this gel lotion hybrid melts into the skin like a dream. And in true Paula’s Choice fashion and unlike any Korean imported potions, this one is completely unscented and comes in a stunning travel friendly pump bottle.

What’s in it?

The filler-free ingredient deck, a Paula’s Choice signature, is focused on brightening, soothing and hydrating the skin. Featuring Niacinamide, Arbutin, Olive Oil and numerous plant extracts, the vitamin and antioxidant rich formula is a great addition to any existing skincare routine. Water based and silicone infused, the elegant texture is merely a perk. With consistent use, you can expect luminous, glowing skin. And once you’re there, don’t ruin it by skipping SPF during the day!

How to use it?

In a nutshell, before bed. Don’t panic. The Paula’s Choice Radiance Renewal newness plays well with others. If you’re using a serum, a facial oil or a Retinol treatment at night, layer this mask on over them. If layering isn’t your jam, and that’s confirmed by the PC Team, it is always an option to mix the mask with anything else you’re using. Suggested as a once a week treat, I’m bringing radiance back every other day. Totally ok.

Ah I was hoping the essence was coming out soon so I could place 1 order. Oh well, I can’t wait. 🙂

I personally didn’t like their BHA products, and my skin seems to do just fine without a daily leave-on. In my review I mentioned that I’d rather use a weekly acid exfoliator (plus I felt like the BHA did the most work if you used it everyday), and so I’m so happy that Paula’s Choice has made my wish come true! 😀
And omg, that brightening essence! Now I can’t wait!

~50 $ for water, silicone, unknown %of niacinamide, fillers, fillers, more fillers and some low amounts of antioxidants? No thank you! I can get the same, or even better for half the price and twice the amount.

Where is that amazing formula for half the price with twice the amount? Not in a sharing mood?

This, for exemple. Also, Cerave Pm, Andalou Night Repair, The Ordinary Buffet and many others. There isn’t anything in this product to differentiate it as a mask and it’s not going to do you much good if you apply it once a week. Let’s face it, they put a basic mosturiser into a small jar and called a mask, while recommending to use it at least once a week in a tick layer.
I see you didn’t contradict me about the formula being mediocre. Anyway, to each his own. But, if there is one thing I’ve learned from PB is to be a smart consumer and look into the ingredient list and not buy into the manufacturers claims.

I’m not going to argue with you but everything you mentioned would not work for my skin. Andalou is way too heavy and greasy for my combination skin, I find Cerave PM extremely basic and almost primitive as far as the texture and overall experience and while I’m enjoying The Ordinary Buffet very much, it does not deliver on all the fronts that Paula’s Choice does. Like you said, to each their own. Thanks for responding!

This mask has the same price as Resist moisturizers. So it’s not so expensive at all. Actually, I consider it to have a much better formulation than Resist Clear Hydrator for the same price. CeraVe and Andalou are not safe for acne prone skin, while this mask is. I’ve always tried less expensive products, but only PC products has visible effects on my spots and pores.
