OZ Naturals Matrix 6 Mega Bright Eye Gel

New to OZ Naturals, I wondered at first if the brand was associated with Dr. Oz or hailed from Down Under – neither one is correct. An abbreviation from ‘ounce’ and emphasizing the importance of natural ingredients, you have probably heard the rave reviews of the formulas by the biggest industry players in both print and digital beauty media.

My introduction to the range via Matrix 6 Mega Bright Eye Gel, the most recent launch, couldn’t have been more fitting as there isn’t a bigger believer in addressing the area under the eye more than I. While the ‘do you need a separate eye cream?’ debate will never die, I’ve been relying on them since I was twenty, a smart grooming move, I think.

The woman behind the curtain.

As a Certified Aesthetician, Angela Irish, co-founded OZ Naturals on the principle of combining the best in nature with the latest in science and technology. Results oriented, accessible and surprisingly affordable, the formulas are truly not to be missed. With the goal of healthy and youthful looking skin, the range delivers solutions that address most stubborn and frustrating complexion dilemmas.

What is the *new* Eye Gel?

Seriously impressive, the potent blend of anti-aging compounds is an ideal solution for anyone dealing with the loss of firmness, dehydration, puffiness and dark circles under the eyes. Because the skin around the orbital bone experiences constant movement, expression lines are bound to form there first. Read: wrinkles. Combined with lifestyle and environmentally driven triggers, it is no surprise that neglecting this part of our skin often leads to the dreaded ‘you look tired’ or ‘are you ok?’ faux pas. Incorporating an eye treatment into your routine is crucial. Like, non-negotiable.

What’s in it?

The OZ Naturals Matrix 6 Mega Bright Gel is packed with an advanced generation firming agent, Matrixyl Synthe’6. This powerful peptide mimics and regulates cell activity to restore, revive and firm the skin by stimulating collagen production. Combined with a proprietary skin brightening agent, Haloxyl, as well as energizing Caffeine Extract, moisture binding Hyaluronic Acid and skin regenerating Apple Stem Cells, this multi-tasking powerhouse is definitely worth exploring.

How-To

This is important. The most underestimated application technique: pat it in. Don’t rub. Use your ring finger and dab the OZ Naturals Matrix 6 Mega Bright Gel on by gently pressing into the skin. Start at the outer corner and work your way in under the lower lash, including the part under your brow bone.

Keep in mind is that a gel is a gel is a gel. While hydrating and lightly moisturizing, those with really dry skin may still need to layer a cream on top. Think of the OZ Naturals Matrix 6 Mega Bright Gel as a treatment product (like a serum for the face) that may possibly require additional moisture. Great under makeup, this latest formula absorbs easily and causes an almost immediate smoothing and tightening effect with absolutely zero discomfort. Unlike similar products of this type, it won’t flake or roll off after it dries. Whether you follow with an eye cream or an undereye concealer, remember to apply whichever with a tapping motion.

Final Thoughts:

Truly versatile, the OZ Naturals Matrix 6 Mega Bright Gel can also be used anywhere on your face as a spot treatment. Personally, I’ve been dabbing it on my forehead where my brows raise and leave ever so subtle, ahem, character lines? With regard to your budget, I recommend that you absolutely make room for this product. The ingredient list alone makes it a gem. Performance wise, my skin is definitely firmer and slightly brighter immediately following application.

This is a great eye gel for puffiness. I was getting low on my bottle and gave it to my sister-in-law to try. She said it worked amazingly well and won’t go without it.
