The Perfect Finish – La Mer The Powder

There is no denying I adore the La Mer brand. The iconic Crème de la Mer represents supreme luxury. Its popularity has led to skin type specific formulas, which makes the original crème just one of five now. To be clear, I am not a powder person. So, it might surprise you that La Mer’s The Powder is the unsung hero of my routine on days on which you’re wondering how I look so angelic. That and, you know, beauty comes from within. #YeahRight

Powder visible on anyone’s skin is a dead giveaway (s)he’s doing something wrong. Too much of anything is never good. La Mer offers The Powder in 4 shade options and while there is nothing transparent about me, Translucent is the one that works best on me. Imperceptible is how the brand describes it. I agree. #Word

I have no idea what ‘airspun sea-born particles’ are, but apparently The Powder is full of them. The slightly pink toned powder with its ultra fine texture goes on smoothly and stays in place. Its slight iridescence leaves no visible shimmer, but instead a soft and radiant glow. You look like you have an aura, not like you’re wearing a mask. I swipe it across my forehead and down my nose to the chin. #FairyDust

The Powder from La Mer offers a lot of flexibility. Apply it with a light hand and it will highlight and brighten. For a little more depth and dimension on your cheekbones, use it after a bronzer. While it doesn’t have magical oil-controlling powers, it works fine on my T-zone, especially in the summer. During drier months, it never settles within pores nor does it appear chalky. #Superfine

This powder’s packaging is insane. The glass jar weighs twice as much as a souvenir size snowglobe, so there’s no traveling with this one. You get a lot of product because 25g of powder is A LOT of powder. La Mer’s la poudre retails at $65 and lasts forever. Nothing beats the feeling of a shopping high mixed with a splurge and then followed by a cocktail, so definitely add The Powder to your shopping list. #PowderTrip

Check out The Powder HERE and explore the rest of La Mer because the Cleansing Gel, Radiant Infusion and Gel Cream deserve posts of their own. As do the Refining Facial and the Concentrate. #JustSayin’
