More Farmacy Newness: Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm

Recently, I counted the cleansing balms in my stash. Seven. Just balms. Moral of the story? I love them. While designed to be luxurious (and mind-blowingly effective) makeup removers in a double cleanse routine, they transform face washing into a ritual my skin now craves.

The massage element, often paired with an aromatherapy perk makes the experience so… decadent. The visual of every makeup particle and most stubborn to remove sunscreen melting away instantly is so rewarding it borders on a constantly successful science experiment.

Brand new

When Farmacy launched its Green Clean makeup meltaway cleansing balm earlier this month, I just had to get involved. While I had never used the Clean Bloom cleansing oil before, the New Day exfoliating powder is a skincare item my minimalist husband requires in the shower at all times. The recent addition of Green Clean completes our Farmacy ‘His & His’ cleansing staples. Bart loves.

Lid Game Strong

After my fascination with the magnetic lid that (literally) attracts the metal spatula of Honey Potion, this Farmacy latest delivers another thoughtful bonus. This time, the plastic seal layer between the lid and the jar houses an applicator spatula. I mean, how clever, right? Scoop up, wipe off, store away. Don’t you just love it when a product starts to deliver before you even try it? True story.

The Texture

The Green Clean jar weighs next to nothing and that’s because of the product’s texture: it feels exactly that – weightless. If you’re a serial cleansing balm user and explore skincare newness like a boss, you may witness extreme similarities to the Korean bestseller, Banila Co. Clean It Zero. The firm yet airy consistency is identical – it’s almost uncanny. Guess who isn’t hallucinating? Me. A quick glance at the packaging proves it is, indeed, ‘Made in Korea’. Farmacy does K-beauty. 농장? 조제?

What’s in it?

Infused with the Farmacy proprietary signature: Echinacea GreenEnvy™, an antioxidant rich complex with superb anti-inflammatory benefits, Green Clean is studded with exotic and nourishing botanical extracts. Turmeric, Ginger Root, Moringa Seed and Holy Basil Leaf Extracts condition the skin while Sunflower Seed Oil acts as the melting agent to remove dirt, grime, and environmental pollutants–without stripping the skin’s protective barrier. One of my all time favorite ingredients, Papaya Enzyme exfoliates gently for a brighter, radiant and glowing complexion. Featuring Bergamot, Lime and Orange Oils, the mouthwatering aroma of Green Clean is subtle. Very much appreciated.

Who and How?

Super universal, Farmacy Green Clean will work on any skin type, including the most sensitive. While amazing as a makeup remover, my combination skin still needs a foaming follow up for that crisp finish. Scoop up a small amount, warm it up by using the tips of your fingers, and massage it into dry skin. Gentle enough to be used twice a day, it emulsifies with water, becomes a milky foam, and rinses off in seconds.

Where though?

Available at farmacybeauty.com and Sephora.com. $34 (90ml)

Do you find this product or Banila Co’s to be better at removing makeup? Thanks for the post 🙂

I have and I liked it a lot! At the end of the day, after trying and enjoy so many formulas, I decided that for daily use I prefer the creamier balms with a bit of aromatherapy like Emma Hardie or Elemis. I like the K-beauty sherbet type formulas but they’re not my ride-or-die.
