Facial Mists Not To Be Missed – Avène, MAC, Dr. Dennis Gross, BRAD, Benefit, Caudalíe and Kiehl’s

On long summer days, fixing your face midday, post workout, or pre happy hour can be challenging. Whether you need to refresh, soothe, or rejuvenate there is a mist for that! Having tried dozens, I picked seven that help to address any crisis significantly. Suitable for all skin types, and in no particular order the Seven Wonders are: Avène, MAC,  Dr. Dennis Gross, BRAD, Benefit, Caudalíe and Kiehl’s. #MakeNoMISTake

To use a face mist successfully, remember 3 things: shake before using, always close your eyes, and extend your arm out a little. Trying before buying is key. Many products labeled as ‘mists’ are sprays that resemble being hit with a water gun. You are going for the London mist or ocean spray feel, not looking to get hosed down. #MistyMisdemeanor

Avène Thermal Spring Water is a #1 item in European pharmacies. Clearly, French women don’t get fat and definitely know their mists. This iconic water originates as rain and filters through the mountains, collecting minerals and trace elements before reaching the spring. This single ingredient magic soothes, soften and purifies. With its efficacy proven in over 300 clinical studies, it’s my pick for after sun exposure. #PureBart

MAC Cosmetics Fix+ is one of the most intriguing facial sprays I have ever used. It’s lightweight yet packed with vitamins, minerals, green tea, cucumber and chamomile to soothe and refresh. Instantly hydrating with a side of antioxidant (vit. E derivative), Fix+ makes for an incredible setting spray. Used after bronzer, the soft sheen and vibrance it provides is beyond impressive. #GlowInTheDarkBart

Dr. Dennis Gross has a mist that I try to keep in every one of my bags. The Hydra-Pure Smart Spray is both hydrating and anti-aging. It includes exclusive Chelating Complex that detoxifies the skin while tea tree oil refreshes and cools on contact. Smart Spray contains soothing aloe and seaweed extract that defends against environmental pollutants. It’s a must-have for air travel. #SmartBart

BRAD Biophotonic Skincare Anti-Fatigue Mist in his signature ultra violet glass will make any vanity beauty story worthy. While I’m never dull, my skin has its moments. With a few spritzes, I’m back in the game. It brightens, re-energizes and balances. Structured electrolyzed water is packed with colloidal silver, glycolic acid, Camu Camu Berry and beneficial oils. Aromatherapy by: Lavender and Geranium. #FancyPantsBart

Benefit ultra-radiance re-hydrating mist is in my fridge next to bottles of Patron and Ketel One. Year round. With glycerin and hyaluronic acid as key ingredients, it’s extremely hydrating. Benefit’s exclusive tri-radience complex boosts skin’s hydration up to 73% within hours of application. Because it includes white and blue lotus extracts, the crisp scent is very relaxing and refreshing. #BartWithBenefits

Caudalíe Beauty Elixir is no doubt a cult product and, for many, the holy grail of facial sprays. Truth is, it’s fabulous. The bitter orange flower water is infused with rosemary, peppermint, and rose oils. It tightens pores, helps fade fine lines, and makes for a fantastic setting spray. Caudelíe’s signature grape fruit extract, just like a glass of fine wine, delivers instant radiance. #DivineBart

Kiehl’s recently expanded their men’s line and added a trio of Oil Eliminator products. The Refreshing Shine Control Spray Toner is glycerin and menthol based making for a wonderful post-shave treat. Anyone with an oilier skin type, however, will benefit from this oil, paraben and sulfate free mist. It neutralizes excess oil leaving your face cool, matte and clean. #CoolBart

Awesome post! I’ve always been curious about mists but never actually tried any. I’ve seen loads of good reviews on the Avene and Caudalie ones you mentioned. As always, great and funny post! 🙂
