Cool, Calm, Collected – Boscia Cool Blue Calming Mask

My skin isn’t particularly temperamental and mercifully has no serious issues. Myself? Results may  vary. I’m actually pretty cool, rarely feel blue, and consider myself calm 82% of the time. Yesterday, however, I wouldn’t have made it through the day were it not for the Cool Blue Calming Mask from boscia. Not even kidding. Actually, may I please request a jumbo size AND a body formula? #Cool

After a very social weekend, my case of the Mondays didn’t involve a reaction to a product. Nor a headache. Rather, this blog was hacked and some recent posts and images were completely wiped out. With steam coming from my ears as I began restoring and uploading lost content, a cup of black coffee in one hand and boscia’s Cool Blue mask spread all over the other mug. The cooling sensation was immediate. I felt more calm before my face did. #FeelingBlue

The Cool Blue Calming Mask applies very smoothly for a thick and sticky gel. It doesn’t slide around nor do you need to worry about looking like an extra from ‘House of Wax.’ (It won’t run down your face.) The gorgeous shade of sharp pearlescent blue dries to a metallic aqua. A thin layer is all you need to cool and calm your skin and to reduce any unwanted redness. Because it’s a peel off mask, it requires at least a half hour time commitment to reap the benefits. As with any peel off mask, be careful around your brows and hairline. #KeepYourEyesPeeled

Suitable for all skin types, Cool Blue includes boscia’s proprietary blend of jojoba and willowherb to soothe and nourish. Sea Whip, an algae known as the world’s most powerful natural, anti-inflammatory ingredient calms and heals the skin. Hydrating aloe vera, anti-aging peptide Matrixyl 3000, and a peppermint-derived cooling agent round out the list of ingredients. The cooling effect this mask delivers is intense but not uncomfortable. There isn’t really a tingle; it’s more like a chill. It would come in handy on a day your A/C stops working. #ChillOut

Obviously I'm a big-mouthed Cyclop.
Hi. I’m a Bigmouthed Cyclop.

Boscia has come a long way since its modest debut in the US with only a handful of SKUs ten or so years ago. Botanically based and free of preservatives, this exquisite Japanese brand addresses a multitude of skin problems. Most definitely, check out the blotting linens for which boscia is so well known. Take a look at The Black Collection, too. The Detoxifying Black Cleanser and Luminizing Black Mask are among my ultimate favorites. #WentBlackAndBack

Cool Blue Calming Mask $34 (2.8oz) available at boscia.com and Sephora.com.

Hi there! I want to try the black mask for a long time. But the brand isn’t available over here.

Hey Bjorn! That’s a shame really. The black mask is amazing as is the cleanser. I hate it when I can’t get a brand in the US that people rave about all over the rest of the world! 🙁
