The Fixer – Bumble and bumble DRYSPUN FINISH Spray

Embracing the change of seasons, I chopped half my hair off last week. With the temperatures dropping, letting my hair air dry is not an option so a new rotation of styling products is necessary. Bumble and bumble Dryspun Finish spray and I are back on again. I miss the simplicity of hair gel and an occasional wax touch up but with the dog days of summer behind us, hair now requires daily attention. #NotLettingMyHairDown

What is it?

Dryspun Finish is part of Bumble and bumble’s thickening line and with a spray delivery system, it does even more than that. Truly amazing, this product transforms your hairstyle by lifting, holding, separating and volumizing, all at the same time. Labeled a finishing spray (and a perfect one at that), Dryspun is quite possibly a hybrid of a dry shampoo and a light hair spray with extra abilities. It may be hard to believe but in the hair department, I am actually a major minimalist. #Seriously!

How-To:

Key to mastering the Dryspun Finish application is to ensure your hair is dry. Take the dry in Dryspun as a hint. Spray the sections of your hair that either need a hold or a lift and run your fingers through them to add volume. While providing a hold, astonishingly, your hair will never feel sticky nor clumped together. Start with a light hand and build up as needed because this thickening product provides almost instant fullness. #InFullForce

Bart’s Way:

I strongly believe this fabulous shape shifter can work as a dry shampoo. After late nights out, I spray a few quick shots of it right against my scalp in areas in which my hair needs a boost. After an immediate fluff up with my fingers, washing my hair can easily be delayed another day. This is just one example of laziness fueled by luxury. #InAPinch

Bumble and bumble offers its thickening Dryspun Finish in two sizes, for which I am eternally grateful. A full size Dryspun retails for $31 and comes in a 4oz can; a convenient travel-sized companion weighs under an ounce and costs just $17. Admittedly, I am terrible at math and hopelessly stock up on the travel size. This week involves a long flight, jet lag, five late nights, and I don’t look that great in a hat. Available at Sephora.com. #TakeItForASpin

Great review, as always! I’ve never been a ‘hairsprayer’ – hate how it makes my hair feel like it’s not mine! 🙂 Does this have a sticky consistency like most sprays?

Hey Ged! Know exactly what you mean! With Dryspun, it is key not to overdo it but it has absolutely no sticky consistency. The hold isn’t ultra strong so your hair moves and is actually separated, which is great!
